I think its odd how archeologist have found ancient cave paintings from the Sumers, they have found Neoanderthal skulls, ancient cities of Troy that has been built over and over nine times, gold artifacts from around 2100 BCE, Sparta, cities of the Hittites, Rosetteta stone, even the colosseum is still standing.I'm basically saying nature has a way of preserving things, and humans have a way of finding things. But what has NOT been preserved and what we have NOT found is anything material relating to the Bible. And the only logical answer for this is that it in fact never happened!

that christiananswers website tells me nothing...there is a pic of a excavated city and the rest is religious propaganda. I not talking about the cities no one can deny jerulsalem or nazereth or bethlehem. I mean show me some ten commandment tablets, or a cross that we can do DNA testing on, a manger ....something.

This evidence is all INDIRECT evidence. What I'm saying is (for example) we know the Eygptians existed from pyramids, paintings ,statues, other countries records and documents, yet this is very convincing it is indirect evidence. But having a sarcophagus lying in a museum is DIRECT evidence. I'm not asking for a body of Jesus lying in front of me...but all the evidence I've seen is merely proving that cities or things of non importance existed.

The devil can do many things, but create life
so if you understand this, creating bones does not mean creating life
the devil will do any and all things to pull people from God, and it seems those who follow these, he is doing a fine job

WHAT?!!!
Dude, we have found tons of stuff relating to the Bible. There's even an archeological study Bible!!! I respect your right to believe the Bible is garbage, but archeology is a huge part of Christian apologetics and shouldn't be discarded without some research or academic premise. Archeology has never been known to prove the Bible wrong (and with all the historical claims, this is interesting), but has supported it often.

Surf the net for stuff, or go to the bookstore to find whole books on the topic. I would suggest the archeological Bible, NIV version. It's really nice. Geez, there are even coffee table books for this.
Additional details? Yes, one MANGER is going to survive for thousands of years for us to do dna tests on. Please.
There is more there than cities and propaganda. There is evidence of David's rule (previously thought to be made up) and whole tribes that were debated. There is evidence that a man can live in the belly of a fish for days (see "When Science Fails"), flood evidence, Mount Sinai evidence (it's not the one called mount Sinai now either, they found stuff on another mountain that proves it's that one), other scrolls and writings that talk of Jesus, Paul, and Biblical evidence. Circumstantial evidence. Open your flippin mind a little. There is evidence if you aren't so hardened and stubborn that you won't look objectively.
Additional details: Well, you didn't specify direct archeological proof now did you? You said we have NOT found ANY material relating to the Bible. We've found a lot, but are still awaiting word on camera footage, the time travel machine, and the crown of thorns complete with some blood for dna sampling. I still say you should at least read the case for Christ, but you won't because you don't want to see evidence if it's there. The least you can do is admit that. Admit that you haven't really been looking and that you like thinking as you do now :) All that "you've seen", psh. You mean all that you've picked up through hearsay, assumptions and selective thinking. Your question and the way you word things proves that you aren't doing your homework on the other side and really considering it.

You need to do more research. Your statement is incorrect.
I never argue with people, I offer no examples because the are always refuted. Why trust anyone, look it up your self.
Research the Assyrian Empire, when the remains of it were discovered, and if there was doubt about it's existence prior to its re-discovery.
You also may want to get a list of formal place names from the Bible and a map of the Middle East.
The divinity of Jesus can not be pr oven, but the events did take place. There are Roman records of the birth, the ministry, and the death of Jesus. He did exist, divine to some, mad to others, but not a myth.
BTW - No one believed the City of Troy existed until it was found by Schliemann. Prior to that it was assumed to be a creation of Homer.
Oh, Homer was a famous writer in the olden days. I don't mean Simpson.

You're quite mistaken. Archaeologial digs throughout the Middle East have found countless sites and artifacts conforming with the stories of the Bible. Most of the cities mentioned in the Bible have been located and at least partially excavated. References to many of the kings mentioned have been found in inscriptions. And not least are the Dead Sea Scrolls, the earliest known versions of many Biblical verses, which were found in caves formerly occupied by the Essenes. A monthly Journal, "Biblical Archaeology Review," is devoted exclusively to these excavations. You might want to take a look.

The Bible is filled with references to actual cities, places, mountains, rivers, and civilizations. Archaeology (the study of history by means of uncovering ancient ruins) has confirmed the Bible record time and time again.
Civilization began in Mesopotamia: the Fertile Crescent has been proved to be the cradle of civilization.
Long lives of patriarchs before the flood: Archaeology has revealed men living great lengths of time.
The Sumerians lived in ancient Mesopotamia (sometimes called "the cradle of civilization") from 4000 to 3000 B.C. , and seem to have been the oldest people to make use of writing. These people made contributions to many areas which still influence us today in Astronomy, Mathematics, Geometry, Fine Arts, and Architecture. Their day was divided into two 12-hour segments, and their architecture may have been responsible for constructing the famous "Tower of Babel" (ref.4, pp.9-14), from which all languages seem to have originated (ref.6, p.47). Cuneiform from excavations of the capital city of Mari has produced records of familiar Biblical names such as Peleg, Serug, Nahor, and Terah, as well as the city of Haran where Abraham lived, and the city of "Ur of Chaldees" where he lived in his youth (ref.5, pp.26-28). From these excavations archaeologists have recovered a record called The Sumerian King List, which tells of kings reigning for hundreds of years. The Bible is pretty conservative compared to these accounts, and suggests that before the Flood there was a water canopy around the earth which created a greenhouse effect, removing the harmful rays of the sun (see Genesis 2:6-14).
The Great Flood: Archaeologists have found many accounts of a Great Flood which are amazingly parallel to the Bible (Genesis 6-8). The most striking similarities are: divine judgment; a hero who constructs a boat; even the sending out of birds. Mere coincidence?
Stories like the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9); Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18-19); and Jericho (Joshua 6) are no longer regarded as myths. They have been proved by archaeology.

actually coming from an non believer I can tell you how wrong you are. There are countless numbers of religious and christian artifacts found over the years even many original scriptures that the bible was based on. Do a little more research and you can read about some. I gather what you are talking about is that none of it can prove that Jesus was the son of God. Sorry but that is only a question of faith not archeology.

I'm not a believer, but that's really not a 100% accurate statement. Many of the wars listed in the old testament have left archaeological evidence. Also, the entire Jesus story is cooberated by archaeology as well as the Roman historian Flavius Josephus. It's the more fantastic elements that there is no evidence of. The ark, the "world wide" flood, the race of giants, etc...

You need to do a little more reading my friend.
The Bible was the very first source to Mention the Hittites and until recently, Historians thought they were a fabled tribe.
The Bible was also the very first source to mention Sumer; archaeologists have used stories in the bible to dig up many ancient cities.
The problem with the Bible and History is the date. Many dates in Biblical History do not coincide with Historical dates. Otherwise, the Bible provides us with very authentic historical news.

My guess is that you are receiving a lot of negative feedback from the Christian community right now. For that I apologize.
Actually, much evidence of Biblical times has been recorded in secular writings of the ancient times. Historical records do exists. Unfortunately, many of them are only provided through Christian organizations, so those who reject the Bible find the sources suspect.
As I have said before, the facts are the facts, regardless of who endorses them. There is historical record of Biblical events....Keep searching....with an open mind. The truth is out there.

Oh, you are a funny one. "NOT found is anything material relating to the Bible" What about Jerusalem? Jericho? Egypt is even mentioned in the Bible, so does that mean it is not real either? The Roman Empire? See what results when people make sweeping generlizations.
By the way have you ever watched History International?

It would be nice if you did a little investigating on your own, rather than just blindly believe what others tell you. Don't be brainwashed by the lies of incompentants who claim to know history and science when they really don't.
Let's see - the walls of Jericho, the "lost" city of Ur, from which Abraham left, evidence of a world-wide flood, the empire of Alexander the Great as described by Daniel, at least 300 prophecies fulfilled in Jesus Christ, the Dead Sea Scrolls verifying the validity of modern translations, and many more.
