I feel as thought I have offended one of the elders that what a major part in my comversion. There are no sister missinaries in my area. any advice. The topic was on cutting.

I actually have no IDEA what you said but if I know missionaries -- "cookies" are better than "sorries"

There is a Biblical requirement to forgive others. If you went to him and apologized and he did except it them he is in sin. If he did and you can't forgive yourself then you have some issues you need to take to the Lord. But that is the way it's done among Christians, I don't understand if you or they recognize the authority of a Book that has been mistranslated.. Jim

Just tell him that you don't feel comfortable with what you said, and that you are sorry for offending him. If he still says he wasn't offended, then thank him for his understanding and leave it at that. Peace.

Like anyone, ellder or not, you have to trust the person who says you haven't offended them. If you harp on about it, they will get irritated with you. Trust this person when they say they aren't mad at you.

Telll them that you feel you sinned against them, and that you cannot have a clear consience before God until you have saught their forgiveness. Then ask them to forgive you.

I'm not a Mormon but I would just apologize. Jesus commands us to forgive so who is he to defy his master?
