No, I can define a real Christian in much simpler terminology.
Christian: One who follows the pattern of Christ.
The main activity of the Christ, was to take the message of the good news of God's kingdom to the people. He devoted the overwhelming majority of his time (post baptism) preaching the good news.
A real Christian, should devote the majority of their time to preaching the good news of God's Kingdom, the way that Jesus did.

I seriously disagree. A Christian is someone who imitates Christ, someone who strives to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, visit the imprisoned, forgive offenses and encourage the downtrodden, someone who befriends the outcast, someone who regularly condemns authorities and elites who insist on useless religious rules (that only they have the means and the leisure to observe) while ignoring the need and misery created by their privilege, someone who believes in love and justice more than life itself. Such a person doesn't worry about the finer points of doctrine or the ultimate fate of believers. Today has enough worries of its own. Nor do they seek comfort and peace for themselves, but only to build up the kingdom of God wherever they are.

I understand the point you are making, but it's too overstated and saying that we are delivered from worries etc, makes it sound like Christians never go through those hard times or that we are so dependant on God that we can never think for ourselves or question the things around us.(which we do by the way all you nay sayers).

Nope, the definition is not ultimate, because there are some flaws in it.
Since when did it become wrong as a Christian to go to the movies and to party? Some denominations might not do one or the other, but Christians in general do go to movies, and they do party. They might not have alcohol, but they still party.
Good try however.

Sounds pretty accurate to me. Except I used to be Catholic and they never talked about "being saved by grace"...it was all about penance and Purgatory and other such nonsense. So maybe there are still Christians out there who think you need to do good works to be saved (which is not what the majority of Christians believe.)

nope, that is not accurate. a christian is just someone who beleives that Jesus forgave their sins when He died on the cross for us. Christians don't have to stop watching movies or going to parties. They can still have entertainment in their lives while telling people about God.

here's my definition of a christian -
Hypocrite-
1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.
This, IMO, defines most christians , but i have been in and out of church my entire life (30 yrs old ) and this is what i see more than the real christian..
Not ment to offend , only speaking my god given mind
