You got your oil checked, your windshields wiped, and gas pumped and S &H green stamps with a smile. I think they even put air in your tire if you needed it. You didn't have to get out of the car at all! I can still hear the sound of the hose that would ding as a car rode across it and into the station. I remember Esso and Sinclair (with the green dinosaur) gas stations. Sadly, no more service.

I was about to respond to a question about where to get a loan asap, and I was going to tell the person not to go to a credit place because the interest rates are often 90% and above, AND I REACHED MY DAILY LIMIT!!!

I hate that. Yahoo needs to come up with a warning system. !!!

I was wondering that there were many great people like Moses who helped people, who God has spoken with. But it seems that since Jesus has died, there hasn't been anyone like Moses who speaks with the Lord. Why do you think that is? Please, serious answers only.

The following is a dialogue in the movie CHARADE. What is the meaning of "things are all fouled up." Is this an old English? Thank you.

BARTHOLOMEW : Dry-cleaningwise, things are all fouled up. I had a good man - an excellent man on the Rue Ponthieu, but H.Q. asked us to use the plant here in the building -- to ease the gold outflow.

This is for mainly those of racial minorities. I am writing a book and would love to hear some funny pick up lines you've been given when being asked out. This book will be like a Pick Up Lines and Dating Minorities for Dummies type book. Your answers, if you wish, remain anonymous. Please nothing too vulgar or gross. Example, I had a gentleman ask this: "I've never been around the world, mind if I ride the Orient Express?" I'm Korean. You can give your ethnicity if you wish.

What do you think about all-girls? Who thinks public schools are better, and why?

I grew up going to public school, but when I finished my two year GT magnet program in elementary school, I decided to give private school a try. I went to an all-girls private school for two years, and the education was pretty good, but there is too much homework, I have no real friends, and the girls are shallow, passive-aggressive, spoiled, sheltered, etc. Now I'm returning to public school for 8th grade to start from scratch as a new girl. It's a pretty big blind leap, because I don't know anyone there and I'm not sure what to expect. I wonder if public school is any different that what it was when I was in 5th grade. Anyway, I'd say I have a pretty negative opinion about private school. What about you all?

If you were God and you were just hanging out, bored, wanting someone to talk to... would you create a human being with a brain incapable of comprehending you, or would you create someone that can carry a conversation closer to your level?

I'm writing an essay about werewolves and the potential fact that werewolves DO exist. And one of the sections of the essay is about killing werewolves or defending against werewolf attacks. Any information would be deeply appreciated (please don't send a wikipedia link, I've already done quite a bit of research from there)

He decides what happens to them and he can change it so that they don't go to Hell. If it saddens him why doesn't he do something with them that doesn't sadden him?

It's like you telling me you are saddened that your kids will get a severe beating from you for disobeying. They don't have to get one, you can give a time-out which does not sadden you and still works.

Its clear there are dangers when not eating for an extended amount of time, so why would God want you to do it? It seems alittle hypocrytical to say its only ok to harm your body if its for God?? I mean does God want you to put the body he made for you at risk? And does it say anything in the bible that we should do it? if so please tell. And how long do people usually fast. I'm not saying are wrong for doing it, I just want there veiws, so thanks to the people who answer.

Most Christians I know who love GOD and believe what is wriitten in the Holy Bible . The Bible is not the same as reading a history or science book, you read those books and you learn about the past and present, the difference in reading the Holy Bible, to a person of faith is the POWER in it, once you give your heart ot GOD and Jesus Christ, your entire life changes for the bette,r and that POWER is what becomes stronger as you educate yourself with GOD's word.

So are you saying you once read the Bible but never felt the POWER of GOD's love, forgiveness and strength? if that is the case I understand why you rejected the bible, I would too if I did not have the power of GOD making my life better with the Holy Spirit.

What prevented you from recieving the Power and healing of the Holy Spirit in your life?

How can you tell a person is an atheist, without asking, you can't.

So how am I ever going to meet a like minded individual for companionship, comradeship, and plain old lively discussions?

Is there a place where I have a chance to meet such a person?
