The ridiculer has sought to find wisdom, and there is none; but to the understanding one knowledge is an easy thing.

Really, we need a humble heart.
Like Jesus said when speaking of young children, "The Kingdom of the Heavens belongs to them."
Children are always eager to learn. We should follow that example.

Humility. Which isn't the same as feeling bad about yourself, beating your chest and saying "O what a terrible little sinner I am."

Humility isn't that. It's knowing who you are (relatively small) in relation to God (relatively huge) and that there will always be things you don't fully or even superficially understand.

Then you're ready for wisdom. If you already think you know exactly how the universe runs and what the answers all are, then you're not open to wisdom.

A open heart; but the wisdom of knowing what is allowed *in* OUR open heart. You fill with filth and trash the heart will reflect upon yourself as such and if you fill it with light and wonders and you will be just that. If you close your heart you will be closed and no one will know you ever and you will be nothing but a speck of dust waiting to be moved out of the way.

The Bible defines humility better than the dictionary, I feel.
"Think no more of yourself than you have to, but think so as to have a sound mind."
I think of selfishness as being so concerned with ourselves that we hurt ourselves and others. Here's a fun site and some news etc. They're not perfect, but what is?

the heart mentioned here, is a symbolic heart and in this case this symbolic heart, are our way of thinking, acting, behaving, and emotions. So to get God's wisdom we need to be sincere with ourselves first, and let God's Holy Spirit help us do what's his will....according to the Bible.
