I'm a little bit confused by this. The heading says that this is in Salem, Massachusetts and they were going to get a lot of money. The actual scripture details it out pretty clearly.

Did they ever get this? What exactly happened? Was this a false prophecy? Was Joseph just on another treasure hunt?

Is this scripture considered by Mormons to be actual word of God? Do you live by this scripture in your daily life?

upsetting for my friends and I. A young woman getting raped by 4 Caribbean men in Glasgow, one of them was over 6 feet. Are we right to be afraid, of these Caribbean men I know I am scared and so are my friends. Two of the black men held her down while the other two raped her, and then they changed places and she got raped again by the other two Black men.
Am I the only who gets upset and frightened.?

I have never had any experiences with a girl before. I've thought about it, i've maybe wanted to try it, but i've never been with a girl in any way. I look at girls alot though, and i think about them, but can i still consider myself bisexual even though i've never been with one?

My wife dropped a large bombshell on me earlier this week. Basically we can never be together again, because she was from a different country that i can't move to ( because I would not be able to make a living). She told me she wants a divorce, and as hard as it is...I do not think we can work this out.

I have no desire to date. I thought she was the one i would grow old with.

People are telling me I have to move on before I can feel better. She was the one that abandoned the relationship- but I still feel married.

Should I take peoples advice, and start meeting people? I am just talking like meeting for coffee or something.Would this make the pain go away.

This is a stupid question, but I am so unsure of what I need to do in life now. My plans, and lifemap have been destroyed.

Joseph Smith made this prophecy in May 6, 1843 and is recorded in the History of the Church, Vol. 5, page 394.

When he prophesied that it would be in a few years, what do you think he meant?

What do you think of this?

""The believing man or woman upon whom there is the responsibility of daughters and he or she discharges it well and treats them with affection, the daughters will become a means of freedom, for him or her, in the hereafter.

It is related by Anas (R.A.) that the Prophet (S.A.W.) said "The believer who bears the responsibility of two daughters and supports them till they attain puberty, he and I will be close to one another like this on the Day of Judgement." Anas (R.A.), adds that the Prophet (S.A.W.) showed, by joining the fingers of his hand, that as the fingers were close to one another, in the same way will the believer be close to him on the Day of Judgement.

Why is it that some people say they are christians but act different towards their own family? My hubby's brother and his wife and 4 kids all go to church on wed's and sunday's morn and night and anything else that is going on.My husband and I used to go to church but since he works third shift and has to sleep on sun. to go to work we don't any more we still believe in god and pray but we also like to go out to the bar and do what we want. and his family act different when they are around church folks but when it comes to us it's all different when we offer to help watch the kids in a bind they would rather take the kids to the pastor and his wife to watch. When there is get togethers with people from their church and with my hubby's parents and neighbors,we see people we used to know from another church we used to go to and you try to talk to them and they just head to his brothers family like you aren't even there now. Nothing against all christians I know everyone isn't like that.

quoted most of the Bible verses claiming the world is flat and centre of the universe in the last question, so I hope noone will repeat the same inane arguments. The Bible is just totally useless because it was written by uneducated men, who were more interested in the subjugation of women than anything else.

Science just says here is what happened and how it works. Here are the studies and tests and all the information that exists.

Religion says here is what happened and how it works. But do not present evidence or tests or studies.

When science contradicts religion the only option religion has is to attack that specific science. This is why not a single religious person ever attacks gravity or Quantum Theory.

So why do people see it as a battle? It's fact versus conjecture.

Genesis
1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
(By this point God divided light from darkness)

1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
(By now God has created light, which he called DAY)

1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
(Oddly, God AGAIN divides light from darkness?)
(By this point God created the stars)

1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

I just stumbled upon it. The man who made this webpage is interested in a "bridge" between Catholics and Evangelicals. This website truly appears to be built with love, and I thought some of you might find it interesting.

After giving it a good look, would you tell me your thoughts please?
