upsetting for my friends and I. A young woman getting raped by 4 Caribbean men in Glasgow, one of them was over 6 feet. Are we right to be afraid, of these Caribbean men I know I am scared and so are my friends. Two of the black men held her down while the other two raped her, and then they changed places and she got raped again by the other two Black men.
Am I the only who gets upset and frightened.?

Rape has been happening since humans evolved. It's not just something black men do...

The best defense is to be aware and ready. Don't put yourself in a unsafe environment but if it ever does happen then Scream loud for help, kick em in the nuts, etc...

I answered this thinly-disguised racist 'question' yesterday, and I will tell you the same thing now as I did then.

Firstly, as someone who HAS been raped, I see through you easily - your little description is simply disturbing, and doesn't sound anything like genuine fright and worry. Yes, I get horribly upset by hearing this has happened to anyone, anywhere, and I am afraid it may happen to me again, but I certainly don't see one race as being more likely to attack any woman than any other race. That would be sheer ignorance.

I couldn't give a damn about the shade of their skin. What difference does that make? None whatsoever. Unfortunately, this kind of depravity goes on all the time and it is frequently swept under the carpet, wherever the worthless freaks who go around doing this come from. It is an absolutely VILE crime, and whoever did it should be severely punished for it, regardless of their skin colour or background. I don't care if you are white, black, green, orange, or pink with purple and magenta polka dots: rapists deserve far more punishment than they get. That kind of behaviour is beyond disgusting.

It's not about skin colour at all. (My great grandparents were Indian, I have tan skin - does that make my suffering less to you? If so, I pity your narrow-mindedness.) This is about changing the justice system so that any sort of filth can no longer get away with such barbaric acts. As is stands the UK legal system is a decrepit joke when it comes to dealing with this crime, and that is putting it mildly.

No. Its horrible. I hate the way the world is going right now. Pregnant women are being killed, innocent children are being molested and raped, etc. I hope that everything turns around for the better.

Rapists come in all shapes sizes and colors. If this is your fear than I suggest becoming a shut in and not leaving the house you ignorant fool esspecially since you are more likely to be raped by an acquaintance than a stranger anyway. Sad fact.

A little part of me fears that...You are not alone! I try my hardest not to put myself in situations where it would happen... but sometimes things just can't be helped... But I also fear lots of other things... Sometimes it's hard not to live in fear... But if you end up living in fear... Then they win whether it happens or not!

Women are raped by all sorts of men. If you've worked in a rape crisis center, you'd know that most women are raped by people they know...and it's usually the same race.

we all know - it isn't something new. This **** has gone on since there were men and women - and we are still slaves. You aren't telling us anything new, and stop acting like you just heard something so disgusting for the first time. you recounting the details so expressly says you found this exciting, not scary or disturbing.
