How many people here drink? And of those that do, or don't how many thing the other belief or faith should?

eg..you think they are sooooo wrong, that maybe they should have a drink, relax their mind, and think things over.
or get drunk enough to agree to your viewpoint or religious beliefs.

Oh, that kind of drink. Why is it always assumed that when someone says they "need a drink" that booze is involved? Why is it also assumed that the only way to 'have fun' or 'relax' is by getting drunk as a skunk?
I'd rather drink water. Or tea. Oh yeah, the question.
The only belief system I've heard of that directly forbids alcohol is Islam.(I think) And as far as that goes, I'm cool with it as long as they don't start telling me I can't have my yearly cup of Honey Mead at Scarborough Fair! Or the rare margarita at a Mexican restaurant.
By the way do not be fooled into thinking that the good ol' boy Southern Baptists don't drink! Follow some of the guys after church on Sunday's and you'll likely see them stop by a liquor store for a six pack on their way to the lake to fish! (at least that's been my observation)

I drink as much booze as I want.

I just don't want my mind polluted, so I don't drink much - like once or twice a year I'll have a beer or a glass of wine.

As a Christian, I don't need to have my mind numbed. I'm not trying to soothe my soul.

All that is taken care of by Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the promises of my Father in Heaven.

I get plenty of time for reflection and relaxation when I pray.

I dont drink and I think it would be wrong for any pastor or christian to encourage or endorse drinking and my reason is because in this country we have a BIG problem with addiction and DUI'S. Most people I know dont drink just to drink they have an agenda in mine and that is to get that buzz. Many are irresponsible and people today just dont drink. Normally, if you start off drinking you end of using some kind of narcotic.

I'm an atheist, and we have no rules so we can drink, smoke, get tattoos, and basically do whatever as long as it's within our principles. I drink and have multiple tattoos, and don't really care about other religions' habits.

Drinking whiskey and Pepsi right now, actually. I honestly think more people should start smoking ganja, not drinking alcohol. Ever hear of an aggravated pot head? I think not.....

As long as they don't drive and put other people's lives in danger, or drink while pregnant and damage another innocent life.

drinking and being drunk are entirely different thing.

If drinking is not acceptable, why would Jesus Christ turn water into wine? He even shared it to his apostles during the last supper.

whats wrong with being drunk is you are susceptible to committing something wrong, or making yourself look stupid.

I think the problem is that people can't control their temptations. They say, "I think I'll just have one." or "God will still love me." But they don't realize that it pains him to see people harming themselves. His creation is destroying itself. He'll always love you, but it won't make Him happier if you have one more.
