Genesis
1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
(By this point God divided light from darkness)

1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
(By now God has created light, which he called DAY)

1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
(Oddly, God AGAIN divides light from darkness?)
(By this point God created the stars)

1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
(Oddly, God only by this point creates the sun and moon)
(The light that separates day from night is the light that shines from the sun, but oddly he created the sun by this point, which is after he created light?)
(God created the lesser light to rule the night “the moon”, but in reality the moon has no light, the light is merely reflected from the sun.)

1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth

1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
(God again divides light from darkness for the 3rd time!!)

Despite all this and you atheists still don't believe in the Bible!!!!??

I noticed how you didn't quote the conflicting creation story mentioned in Genesis Chapter 2.

Humans were created after the other animals. (Genesis 1:25-27)

Humans were created before the other animals. (Genesis 2:18-19)

Which is it?

Why is it so important to prove the 6 Days of Creation? Is it not enough to believe that God created Heaven and Earth? I have no animosity here, and I am not an athiest, I consider myself a Christian, I am merely curious. Also, the above quotes only mention the separation of Light from Darkness. Weren't the 6 Days of Creation inclusive of the universe and all things in it?

1:3 God was that light.( later referred to as the light of the
world.) Some choose to live in the darkness.
Note- The word day was translated from the Hebrew word
" Yom " In ancient times, that word had two meanings. It was
used for - day - and also for -time -. Who knows how much
time passed between the first -time- and the sixth -time-?
I have no problem with evaluation, time wise. I do not except
the theory that I descended from monkeys although I can
understand why some people think THEY did.

thats actually pretty funny. ummm im not one to knock religion I bless anyone who feels in their heart they are doing good, but ummmm would u believe the bible if it said that god divided light so he could have a midnight snack? or would u believe the bible if it said pls deposit 25 cents after each verse?! Come on! Just because it says so doesnt mean I have to believe it. I was catholic for yeaaaaars and i ended up hating it because the bible is so full of contradictions and oppression. Maybe us "atheists" just prefer a god who isnt so stuck up. Actually I find the idea of other Gods to exist and to as real as ur god because the #1 commandment says Thou shall not worship any other god but me. So obviously there are other gods. theres just a popularity contest between them

wow looking at all the above responses its painfully obvious how many people don't actually read long questions.

Oh well, I think you need to spend a little time studying what you believe cuz I am a Christian and I could make a better case against Christianity than this lame question. Honestly you're making all the many intelligent atheists on this site look bad. :-D

How does that make perfect sense? The Bible is not proof. No real atheist would forfeit because of what was in the Bible (written down by man by the way). Your added thoughts mean nothing to the argument.

That's absurd. No one in their right mind would take the bible that literally. You shouldn't trust the bible at all, actually;
The entire bible has been passed down through more than 2000 years of being edited and added to by scholars and scribes with their own fantastic, imaginary tales to tell. The bible has been mistranslated into many different foreign languages and back. It shouldn't be relied upon for truth.

No it wasn't and you lose. It took about 380,000 years for photons to decouple from the high energy plasma that was our early universe. It was dark for 380,000 years. That static on your TV set when it's not tuned to any channel? Part of that static is the cosmic microwave background radiation detected about 30 years ago, the first light of the big bang. Don't take my word for it. Try reading something that wasn't written in the dark ages.

Prove it by something other than the bible and you may convince others. Thats like saying that the Bhavgad Gita proves Krishna is God.

You have to take into account that the earth is spinning around too, while its revolving around the sun. So when you're on the side facing away from the sun, its night, when you're on the side facing the sun, its day, get it? Facing - Day, Facing away - night, facing - day, not facing - night.
