Men usually stay just like women stay for finacial reasons and they might get attached to the other person and stuck in a rut with this person. It's not so easy to just up and walk away from ones life. Weather it be good or bad. We have the knowledge to know but sometimes it's like a dog in the corner getting kicked. they will put up with being kicked for so long and when it has gone on enough then they will either leave or stay and die. This is a sad way of life but it is life. Men want whast they can't have also and so do women to some extent. We are all in a battle with our own selfs for the most part. We think we want this and then we feel like we might not. This is just human nature. this might be God's way of preparing us to want something much larger and better. Be carefull about men though because they do sometimes stay with women that you say don't make them happy. I say they might not be happy about the way the women treats them but otherwise they are happy and they will stay. Why do they stay sometimes. It's sinple. These men are in love and among other things in a good situation for themselfs.So don't feel so sorry for men. When the going gets to bad they know how to leave. I have had them to leave me when the going got really bad. So then it works out for the both when they finally leave. It's tuff all over but someone is always going to get hurt. It's always best to never allow a your date to get to close to you if you feel like you want to have your own life. Set a man straight right from the start and tell them, I want be tied down and while I may love you, I need time to see what I need in life and I do not want anyone to tell me when I can stop dating or anything like this and tell them you will give them the same respect to.It's wise to always keep relationships this way and the other one in the relationship know your feelings before everything gets all serious and then what a mess. for the same reason that women stay with men that make them unhappy...insecurity, lack of self esteem, lack of courage, and mistaken application of "til death do us part." Believe it or not, some people take oaths very seriously. Sadly, the staying brings only misery to all concerned.But we cannot judge them (either the men or women)..we may disagree with their decisions, but it is their lives....I just don't want to be burdened with the whining and crying this causes. And trust me, it has NOTHING to do with sex...and I suspect that sex is very rare in relationships like this....you do not have sex with someone who hurts you, makes you miserable, or destroys you as a person. Men are NOT machines as many women think. Sex is NOT the universal answer to all things.

Sometimes people think
"The devil you DO know,
is better than the devil you DON'T".
They feel its easier to just stick
around with the old lady, or for
girls the old man,
than to make a break and go
back out looking for someone better.
It's a real shame, though!
People could be way happier if
they would just take a little chance.

Maybe it's the sex, or the reaaaaly want it to work. I know that some guys stay with girls who don't make them happy but most of the time it's for petty **** that they know can be fixed so they don't leave. Some just like the pussssy. you never know. Depends on the person.

People of both sexes are guilty of that. The reasons are always very complicated. There's no one textbook answer as to why.
