How do you as a Christian Woman resist temptation to dress sexy and revealing?

I am 25 years old and have recently lost 45 lbs. I have people telling me how great I look, and now I have the urge to show myself off. I like the feeling of having guys staring at me.

What are your thoughts?

Why is the Quran often denied as being the word of Allah? Why are the *Proven* scientific miracles of the Quran over-looked?
There are so many signs of Allah and of the truth in Islam.. And for those who want logic put in everything, these things Allah has mentioned in the Quran have always been tested and than found to be scientifically accurate with the critics.

Quran on the earths atmosphere:
“[He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling…” (Quran 2:22)

The whole article : http://www.islamreligion.com/articles/1/

So why is it so hard to believe? Is it fear that what you don't choose to believe might actully prove you wrong.. With all due respect to everyones religion or lack of one.

And fellow Muslims: I have noticed lately that "Muslims" are even denying so much truth. One of the signs of Qayama are that there will be many Muslims. But few will be believers. Do you think we are near to that day?

Recently the lack of faith in the darkside on R&S has greatly disturbed me. Who here wants to learn about the power of the darkside? If so meet me in the Death Star tomorrow so we can discuss the balance of the force.

In a question about God's anger I got this response: "Like all parents, he disciplines them when they disobey..."

So how do you discipline your kids? Do you drown them, rain fire and brimstone on them or condemn them to an eternity of torment?

This came into my head as a result of some of the response to people in their defense of being pro-life. A large part of their argument outside of murder was that it the fetus had no choice in regards to life or death. So here is where my question begins. A child has a young and very malleable mind. They do not have the capacity to make rational decisions and will often make choice that please their parents or gain their parents attention because they want to be loved. In most cases if a child says he does not want to go to church he is forced by his parents or in other cases the child is taken and put into schools that promote the families respective religion. The child has no real choice in the matter

So my question is that by forcing/indoctrinating/whatever your children into your religion aren't you also violating their personal liberties and their right to choose later on because they don't know any better and you have given them no real choice in the matter?

1. Does your family attend religious services together?
2. Does your family pray together?
3. Does your family talk openly about religion often?
4. Have there been conflicts within your family that centered around religion?
5. Have your religious views changed at all since you were a child?
6. Who is responsible for discipline in your family?
7. Is there a great deal of touching in your family?
8. How are boys and girls treated in your family?
9.How are chores divided in your family?
10.How has religion shaped your family activities and rituals?

Thank you so much!

HiI have had a few problems with sinuses lately and my wife said to me if I hear you breathing through your nose like that again i'm gonna tear you a new asshole, I told her to go down the street and buy a large bag of shut your face. She then pick up her salmon salad and squashed it into my face.

Is this nornal for relationships?

Here are the first 3 verses in question:

5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

Of course, Jesus goes on to give us the model prayer after this. So with that said, do you believe that prayer is a command of God?

As a Christian, I consider it more of a priviledge than a command to be able to speak directly to my Creator who saved me with His blood.

Notice what Jesus said though 3 times: "But WHEN you pray...."

He didn't say "If"....He said "When"

Your thoughts fellow Christians

Why are people that are religious, i.e. Christians, Muslims, Jews, ... so afraid of death?

In all these major religions there is life after death and so one should not be afraid of death.
So the only people that should be afraid are Atheists.

I was raised as a catholic and religion was pretty much forced upon me. My mother used to make me & my brothers go to mass and we hated it. So much so that when we turned 18 we decided enough was enough and stopped going to mass. Im 32 now and since i was 18 i havent set foot in a church. In fact ive rejected the notion of a God and dont believe any of it.........well up until about a year ago when I did some reading on spirituality. Now i dunno. I definitely believe there is something guiding us all through life, letting us know what is right & what is wrong. But as fo God and religion, im not so sure. I have no interest in worshipping or praising anybody. I have no interest in going to a church and kneeling and praying or any of that crap. But I do feel there is something. So I need to know, why do people turn to religion? I always believed it was because they were weak and feared death, but im not so sure now. Please no religious zealots, just regular people to answer. Thanks
