I agree. My son is 19 now & has no healthcare insurance. He can't go to the doctor if he is sick because they insist on paying up front. However, all of these illegal immigrants can have babies in the U.S. for free & get everything handed to them. This makes no sense to me!

Go to the link below and demand this from your Congressmen and Senators. That is why they are there.

That said, don't get your hopes up too much. The reason that no one fixes health care is because the insurance companies make a lot of money off the people who can afford it, and they make campaign contributions to the people in office so that they will not have to start helping people who can't afford to pay them for it. It is all about the money. That said, if enough people wrote Congress and threatened to vote them out, they'd change their tune.

Whatever you do, make sure you get out and VOTE!! Find out who is running that supports universal health care and make sure you vote for that person. I'll give you a hint: it will probably be a Democrat.

I wish it were as simple as the insurance companies make too much. The truth is, as in many situations, you have many competing and adverse agendas. People want access to all the latest technology, the right to choose their own doctors, and convenience. Insurance companies want to make a profit. Doctors feel entitled to make more and more money. The politicians want to gain political advantages. Lawyers want to sue, sue, sue. All these interests raise the cost of medical care and someone has to pay. If you address one issue it's detrimental to another, thus no progress. It will take a crisis before anything really changes. Just my opinion, but shared by many.
