HiI have had a few problems with sinuses lately and my wife said to me if I hear you breathing through your nose like that again i'm gonna tear you a new asshole, I told her to go down the street and buy a large bag of shut your face. She then pick up her salmon salad and squashed it into my face.

Is this nornal for relationships?

ROFL! There is nothing quite like a relationship blessed with two fiery tempers. I'm in one but we don't eat salmon.

Um.. probably not.. if your having issues breathing she should be concerned and sympathetic rather than bitchy and rude.. You shouldn't snap back either, that only adds fuel to the fire.. Do you guys normally have a slightly abusive relationship? I'm thinking it always hasn't been like this since you are now married.. All relationships have ups and downs and normally I would say just leave but you 2 are married, you NEED to work this out.. maybe counseling or try and just talk to her.. let her know throwing food isn't for a grown woman, and the two of you should sit down and really figure out what you BOTH want and need from eachother..

Krikey... I can hear your sinuses from here and I can't wait for her to tear you that new hole 'cause maybe you'll be able to breath through it

Seriously ...you should try drinking more water... it loosens your mucoidal secretions ...hang on... that's broccoli up there from monday nights dinner

Very seriously ...you should see a drug councilor about all those bags of shut your face ...no wonder your sinuses are clogged (c;

It's normal for you to say and do such things things in good fun only - heaven knows we do at my house, lol. But the reason for her doing that this time is a little bothersome. If your sinuses are so bad that you can't breathe well when eating, you are obviously pretty sick and she should be more considerate.

I have the same sinus problem. When my sinuses kick in I eat in the other room away from my hubby who hates my sinus noises during dinner. She was more angry at your smart *** remark than anything. Yep it's normal to have spats like that in a relationship. We call each other dum dum and do do at times. it's normal. She really lost her cool throwing your food all over you though. She is going to have to understand it's something you can't help Try eating in the other room when your sinuses are acting up. it works for us.

There is no such thing as "normal" when it comes to relationships. What is normal for some may seem odd to others. Sounds like you two need a vacation. A little R&R would help the stress level in your home. Good luck.

No it's not but I think both you and her need to rethink this whole thing. Maybe it was that you both were on the edge or maybe this relationship is not worth saving. You guys need to sit down and discuss it but not over dinner or with any other food present.

I don't see what the problem is. All you have to do is hold your breath. Problem solved. And you should have eaten the salad since it was already in your face.

no. But i think you should see a doctor about your nose there are over counter products you buy to help with your breathing.
