Hello,
I hate to admit my age here but I grew up in the late 50's and 60's! A square is essentially what a nerd was in the 80's and a geek is today.
Cheers,
Michael Kelly

Not cool. But since that was a common expression in the 50's or 60's I would say that it automatically applies to whoever said it.

It means they either think you are a nerd or a cigarette.
But give the 10 points to LabGrrl. Her answer was funnier.

I haven't heard this for years. Once it meant you were moral. Later it meant you didn't like to have fun. I don't know now.
