My roommate and I disagree about how to clean the common areas of our apartment. She believes dirty dishes (MY dishes) can sit in the sink for days on end, that clothes can be piled on our couch, and that the bathroom does not need to be cleaned weekly. Beyond that, I found her boyfriends' used CONDOM on my makeup case in the bathroom. That was the final straw. I decided that for one week, she was in charge of ALL the cleaning, including my messes, and then we would have a chat about compromise. I don't know if this will teach her anything. Am I being unreasonable? Should I just move out? Or should I try to be agreeable and find a happy medium?

most often to win a popularity contest even though you hardly know them?

A big YUCK on popularity contests. It's nice to see one's name, don't get me wrong, and I have seen mine pop up a few times, but that doesn't make me feel any less annoyed- there's an almost elitist feel to the questions as well as the same old answers. I cannot help but wonder how well you know the person you think is the nicest or most impressive. I can see singling someone out for their birthday (I always do it) or for some other special reason, but to make lists of "Who's the most this?" or "Who's the most that?" is where I believe a line should be drawn. I just see this sort of thing the way I saw it in junior high - people get hurt too easily, someone always comes out on top and someone else is always made to feel like the pariah.

What say youse?

This is a nagging problem that I cant fathom out. If you believe in the bible and that god created the whole world and everything in it then how would you explain the dinosaurs. I have never read the bible, but to my knowledge there is no reference to the dinosaurs been created, but we know they existed and that they were living creatures so how would you explain them in terms of the bible.

""The essential and definite element of my conversion to Islam was the Qur'an. I began to study it before my conversion with the critical spirit of a Western intellectual .... There are certain verses of this book, the Qur'an, revealed more than thirteen centuries ago, which teach exactly the same notions as the most modern scientific researches do. This definitely converted me." Ali Selman Benoist, France, Doctor of Medicine."

How can all these people be so sure there isn't a God.? What makes you so sure? What makes you any different than believer's. We have the Bible which was written by people whose thoughts were influenced by God, quotes from Jesus Christ himself. Thousands of witnesses that seen Jesus's miracles. You can believe something written on a piece of paper or written inside of a cave thousands of years ago. Why is it so hard to believe there is a God? The bible was written in different time periods, when Gods presence was strong. Woundn't you rather go through life believing there is a God waiting for you after you leave this earth, and die not knowing if there is or isn't. Or go through life without God,not believing in him, and die, and find out there is a God and hell?

Isiah 9:6 For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, and the government is upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, GOD THE MIGHTY, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace.

John 1 He was in the world, and the world was MADE BY HIM, and the world knew him not.

John 8 They said therefore to Him: Who art thou? Jesus said to them: The beginning, who also speak to you. The Jews therefore said to him: Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said to them: Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham was made, I AM.

He also said, I and the Father are one.

Muslims pay attention to these verses. The Koran is wrong about Jesus.

Since it seems like the question gets asked what everyone else thinks of us, I'm giving "US" the opportunity to answer back.

Personally? I can get along with everyone, religious or non-religious, I just wish everyone could understand that our differences are what make life exciting. If we all believed the same way, the world would be quite boring.

And yet people who haven't even read it say its ludicrous. Have anyof you ever read the story of the golden cal fin the quran? Does it not really mean that we make things more complicated than necessary? Can we not just believe that there is a God ( what ever you call him/her/it?) and let others believe as they choose? And if you are an aetheist can we all not agree that it is your choice to do say and that you shouldn't be judged for that choice as it isn't our place?

God is said to have created us. We are suffering now because of our inperfections. Question; why did God give us imperfections?

It's like he created us in the full knowledge that we would do wrong, and yet he punishes us for it anyway. Kinda puts to death the idea that he's "all loving".

Did all my schooling in my home country. Sometimes, I feel offended when people ask me about my accent. I feel embarrassed, too. I cannot hide it. Maybe, if I was schooled in North America it will be different.
