If you are anywhere near one of the places that has been pounded by rain there is no doubt you will be seeing snakes. The ground and the snakes' dens are being drenched or completely drowned in water. Being cold blooded snakes are looking for a dry place to stay, that is warm, to wait out the moisture and flooding.

Breeding time?????

Maybe there's an influx of mice around the area which is bringing the snakes around. Also, some snakes rob birds nests, are there a lot of baby birds around?

As long as they're not posioness, just keep an eye out for them. What ever reason they're suddenly around should pass & they'll be on their merry way!

Good Luck!

Some spiritual people believe that if any creature follows you, then it is wise to listen to the medicine which the animal carries. For one who follows the Red Path, animals are called our totems and can be powerful spirit guides who walk our life's journey with us. there are many types of totems, from ones who come into your life to bring you a quick message (such as may be the case with the snakes for you), and some are life long, such as the inner totem and the shadow totem. You can read on Snake's medicine here and see if its message is relevant to your life now in some way. If not, it may just be deforrestation, breeding season, or an influx of mice. ;-)

What a lot of people have said before me like loss of natural predators mating season or drought and loss of food supplement. Mythological part Zeus likes to come in the form of a snake so you have done something to anger him.

Disappearance of any natural predators, which would control their population. Land development might drive away predators like foxes, coyotes, hawks, etc.
