What do you think of this? And what is your story?

""The essential and definite element of my conversion to Islam was the Qur'an. I began to study it before my conversion with the critical spirit of a Western intellectual .... There are certain verses of this book, the Qur'an, revealed more than thirteen centuries ago, which teach exactly the same notions as the most modern scientific researches do. This definitely converted me." Ali Selman Benoist, France, Doctor of Medicine."

Im sorry that i made this too long. I tried to condense it in 'Word' as much as i could. First off, this is a reply about animals in Islam. They are respected in Islam because ALLAH gives them a purpose.
I live in Alexandria, Egypt and the dogs and cats here run free and wild. I know its not a good thing, but people and the government dont find it high priority, its money. The family in the building across from us has 2 big dogs living in their apartment with them, they look very healthy. Some people have cats as pets here too. My mother in law's friend took in a wild stray cat into her clothing store a year ago and the cat just sleeps there. People here also love to have parakeets and canaries as pets too. I hear & see them churping in the downstairs balcony. Its not just Egypt. People in Pakistan & Sudan etc... have pets, but they are kept outside. Its believed in Muslim countries to let the dogs & cats roam free to do their duties as to eating the bugs and rodents. Also because they are very dirty when they are outside all the time and not taken care of like in the USA. I wouldnt want them to roam free either. I would want to do things the "Bob Barker way" & keep them from desease & worms. Unfortunately thats not how the economy is ran here.
OK, now we got that cleared & out of the way....
I was raised (southern CA) with no religious background until my mom re-married when i was 8. Then i was going to 6am sunday masses & Catholic school. You can emagine this was all overwhelming for me. I went to Catholic school from the 3rd grade to the 5th. I did try to ask the nuns & other regular teachers about Jesus, GOD, & the Holy spirit confussion. All of them just were frustrated and they got mad at me when i just still didnt understand. The nun told my step-dad about that and he tore into me, saying how disrespectfull and ungreatfull i was. When my mom & step-dad were having financial & marital problems, they put me back to public school. In 1982, I automatically went to 7th grade. Not because of how smart I was but because how far ahead the private school was from the public schools. From then on to the year 1992 I was thinking about GOD, but was really not praying very often. I was in & out of churches. My ex-sister-in-law took me to her mormon church and all i got were rumors and 2-faced people. They acted like they liked me, but I would hear people talk & whisper. So from friends I have made, I started getting into the crystals and incenses & meditations to heal and purify & palm reading. Yeah, you could say i was really lost & very confused. After that, I did go back to the Catholic church every sunday or more. Read the bible a few times & still didnt answer my questions. OH, i believed in GOD, I just couldnt hold strongly to the idea of Jesus being 2 things at the same time. AND how could he pray to himself when he was alive? I still was confused. I was thinking to myself, I believe in GOD, the creator of heaven & earth & us human beings as how we started life here on earth. If I didnt find a religion that i can fit in perfectly, I will just stay alone, to pray on my own, in my own home. المشاع الله Masha'ALLAH. Then I havent even heard of Islam yet until 2002. Then I was like, WOW a new thing to research...VERY interesting. Trust me, I researched Islam & the Holy Quran & loved what it was saying. I loved the moral values it had. I really loved the stories of the people in history. One thing that REALLY convinced me that it was truth was that Prophet Mohammad(pbuh) It was he who preached for the first time complete equality of mankind. He gave a high sense of self-respect to an uncouth desert people among whom he was born. He removed all distinctions of caste, creed or colour, and introduced among his followers the principle of universal brotherhood. All these ideas were refreshing to those who were suffering under so many inequities and acts of injustice.
Ok, here is my solid proof......
There is a discription in it describing how a embryo & a fetus looked like in the womb at so many weeks along, before doctors & scientists were even thought of..... BEFORE TECHNOLOGY.
Detailed explaination..............

"This statement is from Sura 23:13. The drop or nutfah has been interpreted as the sperm or spermatozoon, but a more meaningful interpretation would be the zygote which divides to form a blastocyst which is implanted in the uterus ("a place of rest"). This interpretation is supported by another verse in the Qur'an which states that "a human being is created from a mixed drop." The zygote forms by the union of a mixture of the sperm and the ovum ("The mixed drop").
This statement is from Sura 23:14. The word "alaqah" refers to a leech or bloodsucker. This is an appropriate description of the human embryo from days 7-24 when it clings to the endometrium of the uterus, in the same way that a leech clings to the skin. Just as the leech derives blood from the host, the human embryo derives blood from the decidua or pregnant endometrium. It is remarkable how much the embryo of 23-24 days resembles a leech.
As there were no microscopes or lenses available in the 7th century, doctors would not have known that the human embryo had this leech-like appearance. In the early part of the fourth week, the embryo is just visible to the unaided eye because it is smaller than a kernel of wheat.
cont....Sura 23:14. ~ Sura 23:14 ~ Sura 23:14 ~ Sura 32:9 ~ Sura 22:5 ~Sura 22:5

"The interpretation of the verses in the Qur'an referring to human development would not have been possible in the 7th century A.D., or even a hundred years ago. We can interpret them now because the science of modern Embryology affords us new understanding.
I showered first. You have to clean yourself first before shahada or any prayer. A very good Muslim friend of mine helped me recite the "Shahada" I've been Muslim since 2003.
الحمد لله Alhamdulillah

Masha ALLAH. I've never been at so much peace & happiness. What happends, is ALLAH's Willing.

I grew up with no religion, it was almost taboo in my home for some reason. My parents call themselves Christians, although they do not practice, meaning they never pray, attend church, or even really think of God for that matter.

This made me grow up tp wonder about religion, and what makes a person different from the next on the basis of religion. I began reading the bible at an early age, 18, and then went on to study Islam. I found so much peace during and after completing the Quran, there was no doubt this is the one true religion. I agree with you on the point that the Quran, revealed over 1400 years ago to the beloved prophet Muhammed (pbuh), has so many scientific notations that are just being discovered by scientists today.

Alhumdulilah, I have now been muslim for over 10 years, and my life has changed so much since choosing the right path in serving Allah (swt).
