How can all these people be so sure there isn't a God.? What makes you so sure? What makes you any different than believer's. We have the Bible which was written by people whose thoughts were influenced by God, quotes from Jesus Christ himself. Thousands of witnesses that seen Jesus's miracles. You can believe something written on a piece of paper or written inside of a cave thousands of years ago. Why is it so hard to believe there is a God? The bible was written in different time periods, when Gods presence was strong. Woundn't you rather go through life believing there is a God waiting for you after you leave this earth, and die not knowing if there is or isn't. Or go through life without God,not believing in him, and die, and find out there is a God and hell?

some people could care less, in the end they will have to answer to GOD. God is strong and unbreakable.

Prove they were influenced by god. All the witnesses are in the bible. What evidence of god is there? And the rest is Pascal's wager which is asked so many times here it isn't even a question anymore it's an excuse to drink.
Hell, prove the existance of Jesus first. Because I can guarantee you there are no historical documents with anyone by the name of Jesus Christ.

I believe that we were created by a powerful being, but not the Christian version of God.
When I look at the world around me I see that it is made up of opposites, night/day, man/woman, adult/child ect ect. It makes me wonder that if there is an excat opposite to everything then why is God personified as a male and not both. Guess when it all boils down to it I believe that there is either a God and a Goddess(no I do not practice magic in any way shape or form!!) or that the all powerful being has no gender.

people aren't sure theres not a god, but nobody can be sure there is a god either. for most seeing is believing, and since they can't see it, they don''t believe its possible or real. i say its safer to believe theres a god, in case as you say we die, and find we were wrong. if you believe and die, you could either be wrong, and have nothing happen or die and go to heaven. Also, some think since there life sucks and nobody helps there isn't a god. Also some read othre bible type stuff and get so interested they don't care about the bible. i don't really know, theres many whys and why nots.

So why isn't God's presence still strong now? He could talk directly to Adam, Moses, Abraham, etc. He sent angels to talk to others. Why do I have to settle for some "still, small, voice" that I still can't hear? Why do I have to have faith in a God that I have NO proof for?
BTW, those "eyewitnesses" didn't write anything down for decades. And Jesus never wrote down anything at all. If his message was so important, why didn't he write it down himself?
I don't believe in God for the same reason you don't believe in the Invisible Pink Unicorn. NO proof. The invisible and the non-existant look an awful lot alike.

You are totally entitled to believe what you believe. As am I. As a person who is a former Christian, now a Wiccan, I have to say one of the things that drove me away from Christianity is this attitude that Christians are the only ones who are "right." I believe in God and Goddess, but find that Christianity must be a false religion when I look at its followers. Just my two cents.

People really cant be sure there is (or isn't) a god. The main reason being that religion is largely based on faith, not proof. So there isn't really certain proof for a god or against a god, and that is why there are so many who believe and so many who don,t believe. Because religion is supposed to be based on faith, then I guess there will never really be any proof one way or another. So you got to make up your mind and its a bit of a gamble, but to me it seems like it is much more risky NOT to believe in God than to believe in God. I mean if you believe in God I suppose at worse you won't end up no worse off, but at best you could end up much better off for believing.

first off your basically saying the bible is true because the bible says so. How do you know the bible was "written by people who's thoughts were influenced by god"? Because the bible says it was? See my point.
Secondly I believe there could be a god. Just not your god. There are too many inconsistencies and fallacies in the bible for it too be true.

You cannot be offering up Pascal's wager as a valid argument can you?
I'm having a shot...
Don't you think that "god" is going to see right through your pretending to believe "just in case" there is a hell?
Edit: When we say "Pascal's Wager" that is an invitation for you to do a little research and look it up...

I believe deeply in God and no one can convince me otherwise. But I have excepted that I could be wrong. I choose to have faith however.
I would wonder if other people could say the same thing for themselves. Dispite your avid belief that there is no God could you except that you may be wrong.
And if not... is it dictated by fear of what being wrong might mean for you in the after life.
I guess I'm adding to this guys question. Because I'm very curious. While I respect everyones opinion, I wonder if they will respect mine... Not necessarily believe in what I believe in. But in the possiblity that as much as I may be wrong. So might they?
