For my whole life, I had been taking showers in the morning when I woke up. But I realized at the end of the day, I smelled pretty bad. Not that I'm dirty or anything, but I start to smell easily. I thought maybe I was one of those people who had to shower twice a day or something. So one night I went to the gym (as opposed to how I usually go every morning) and I HAD to take a shower because I was very sweaty. I'm telling you, I didn't smell the next day AT ALL. I probably could have went without a shower the next day and just gotten one the following morning but that's a little gross to me so I hopped in the shower again the next evening and it's been great. I don't understand though, since I'm taking a shower before the next day begins...whereas if I took a shower when the day started, I smell by the day's end. Very odd. Any of you have input on this?

I just want to know why, I don't want to be told he exists by his name, or he exists just because he's god. How old were you when you stopped believing in santa? What if i told you its a lie and he's really real you just have to believe in him to get something, and the next day good luck strikes and i say it was santa. I mean, most of you seem pretty intelligent but talk about god and its like you are on brainwash mode. Why? you know why the world turns, you know things evolve, they're changing right in front of our eyes, and adapting to the world, I've physically seen things pre-evolved that were casted away from evolving areas, but have never come across a spiritual experience, and i would absolutely love to if someone tells me how. I've tried every religion and found lies in all. lies that can be very easily proven. I really truly don't want to believe there's no afterlife, but i can either lie to myself or face the facts.

I love watching music videos but these southern rappers are killing me.

They parade and throw money, mouth full of jewelry, and women who don't look the way they do once they take off the weave and the makeup. What is going ON?!

Ok, I must admit I like Lil' Jon and the Ying Yang twins but even they had a little bit of class in their videos. I don't know. I feel a difference, just can't put my finger on it.

AAAAND what the hell are they rapping about?! Ay baybay, wipe me down, and so on. Has anyone listened to these lyrics?
I'm sorry but it's utter CRAP!

Anyone else agree?

I'm a straight woman and I've known many gay men friends and they've all been practically obsessed with women's boobs, and were always dying to touch them. As time's gone on more and more gay men seem to be admitting they're into women's boobs - you see it on TV all the time - Graham Norton is worse than a straight guy about boobs! So why is it if gay men are supposed to just be into men that they still hanker so badly for feeling boobs? It's something I don't understand - is it just that most gay men are actually bi but won't admit it? Or is it that secretly they prefer women sexually, but feel too inadequate or whatever to make it with a woman and find sex with a man 'easier' and less complicated psychologically?? Really not having a go at gays at all, but it's something none of them will talk frankly about as they get all defensive, shy, or akward about it.

This teaching is a combination of two separate concepts in the Old Testament: "the Law of First Things" and the "Law of the Tithe"

The resulting hybrid law has been brought over into the New Covenant and applied to the Church. Beside violating the New, this hybrid is also a faulty interpretation of the old !

Here in Durham there is a grocer called Food World. . Usually my sister goes with me but yesterday my husband did. This is the most culturally diverse place that I have seen in a long time. Hispanic, Arabian, African, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. We were looking at the Italian gold, an Asian man grabbed my husband's arm and was trying to show him something. We could not understand, he drew a small audience of people. He had a scratch off lottery ticket saying that he had won $5,000. People of different cultures hugged each other, and for 10 or more minutes, it was like nobody was a stranger. My eyes caught on the white shoppers and they were standing back. A older white couple came up. As soon as others say them, they made a point to exclude them. Nobody acknowledged them. My mouth dropped, I could not believe it. I did attempt to include them in. I found out really quick that I stood alone. What do you think of this?

What are your favourite languages for celebrating mass? Personally, I have experienced many, and find that the most beautiful are the following (roughly arranged from best to least effective in ritual)

In Catholic worship:
Latin
Italian
Arabic
French
Spanish
English (as least suitable language amongst the ones I know)

For Orthodox Worship:

Arabic
Greek
Russian
English (again as least suitable language entirely for Orthodox worship)

No matter what your faith choice, do you and your family have a plan in place in case things get crazy? Do you have a plan for survival? Can you share any of your plans?

Oh - and responses like "Jesus is coming so I don't need to plan," will get a thumbs down. Since you don't know the hour, you should be prepared.

why does he turn his back on the most faithful, pious people from impoverished nations?
Allow thousands of children to die needlessly?
Allow the wicked to not be punished?

Surely these cannot be dismissed as being according to the mystery of his will?
IF these are then his will- is God then not benevolent at all but capricious, vain and contrary (assuming God exists at all)?
Or is God merely a construct of man and man's emotional immaturity to find solace in the essentially meaningless and infinitesimally total non-importance of our individual lives and provide some hope of immortality beyond the profane?
