No matter what your faith choice, do you and your family have a plan in place in case things get crazy? Do you have a plan for survival? Can you share any of your plans?
Oh - and responses like "Jesus is coming so I don't need to plan," will get a thumbs down. Since you don't know the hour, you should be prepared.

We have a plan - if something really bad happens, we would like to be able to get out of the inner city we live in. We have plans on where to meet and what to do. It is fine to live everyday as if it is your last - we do - but we also are prepared to help our family if we can.
And no, I don't want to hear that Jesus is going to take you out before the next terrorist attack. The odds of that are unlikely.

Everyone, if they have the space to store bulk food items, should. Even if your plan is simply to survive a couple weeks without power or water, that's great; it's better than no plan at all. I have a Sam's Club membership, which is great for buying food in bulk at a very low cost, and I am blessed with plenty of storage space in my basement. I'm also blessed to live in an area that is not prone to flooding, hurricanes, earthquakes, or forest fires! We have a generator and a well, so as long as we can keep buying gas, then our well will continue to pump water if we have a power outage. I also have the ability to plant many types of food, and later this year my husband promised he'd make a huge vegetable garden for me. I will plant next spring, as long as he creates it before the ground hardens in the winter. So that's about it. I don't live on a farm, so I have no access to cow's milk or eggs... but I do have a lot of blessings to work with.

If and when we have a terrorist attack in America everyone will be confused as to what to do.
Transportation may stop for a while if roads are blown up.
That would mean gas, food, medicines, even water would not get through to you.
If the computers are knocked off line there will be no grocery stores open as they all work by UPC codes. There won't be electricity or gas for heating your homes.
The banks may be forced to close and will not allow you to get to your money.
The streets may have armed guards there to protect you but there will be curfews and maybe travel will come to a halt. You may be forced to stay put for months even if you are away from home.
WHAT TO HAVE ON HAND
: possibly in a 3 month supply
money, medicines, food, water, pet food, batteries, radio, (find a ham radio operator in your area) generator, fuel, first aid kit, phone numbers and contacts in other locations, plastic containers, plastic bags for trash and human waste, toilet paper, paper plates, cups, canned goods, can opener,
bleach for sanitizing water, clean containers for rain water, soap, glasses, tennis shoes, rain wear.
There should be a place you can go for a secure bunker out of town.
I was in New Orleans when there was a gunman who took control of the city. Everything stopped for 24 hours. If one man with a gun can control a city, many men with planes and bombs and guns may capture a nation.

In the 1950's people with enough money built underground bunkers to survive a nuclear war.
In the 1970's Mormons came up with every family having food storage for a year so they could survive a catastrophe that never happened.
I have lived through these times and I am getting old. I don't have time to run around being chicken little. I am going to die within the next 30 years. I choose to spend my time living.

I am ready as the Mormons but without the religion.
How in the world do you know that "Jesus is coming so I don't need to plan" isn't many people's plan?
Just because it is not your plan doesn't make it any less valid.

What do you mean by plan? My family have a fire escape plan but that's about it.
