Noah flood was on all earth occupied by men at that time. At that time population was mainly in Saudia, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq etc. So about other empty land there is nothing mentioned.

At the end of last ice age over 10,000 years ago, melting icecaps and consequently rising water levels of the oceans, have caused many floods all over the world, including the USA (eg. the Scablands, and large parts of Miami have disappeared into the Atlantic those days).
What could have been the origins of the Noah story could have been a meteorite, but in my humble opinion it must have originated from rising sea levels in the Mediterranean Sea, or the Black Sea (which has proved to be flooded by seawater about 7000 years ago through the Bosporus). Especially the last one must have been a pretty violent event as the Black Sea leveled with the Mediterranean in about a year. Many mountains in the Mediterranean and the Black sea got completely covered with water and have never emerged since then. If you were living there when it happened, and you were able to get away in time, most probably your world wouldn't have been bigger than what you could see or what others have told you. That's where the story came from that the whole earth got covered with water. It also must have affected the weather in a very bad manner, and lots of underground water flows, crevices etc, must have filled up with water, violently spewing it out maybe even hundreds of miles miles away from the entrance.
There's a lot of evidence that the biblical flood is based on true events, but so far there's no reason to believe it happened the biblical way, neither that it was a divine attempt to erase humanity and other life from the face of the earth, so it could start over again from Noah on. If he did, he didn't succeed.

First, it wasn't Noah's flood. It was God's according to the Bible. According to Sumerians, Gilgamesh was the man who built an ark for the flood. This story was written long before Noah. The flood was a large local flood which did not cover the entire earth. For the simple man of the times back then, it was the entire earth with their limited knowledge.

No, there is a record of a flood , but it was in only a very small area around the Dead Sea I think it was...
It was not a World flood, as there is not enough water to cover the Planet, once again we find a story full of holes...
Blessed Be... )O(

It had to reach the entire world which at that time was the middle east. Nobody lived in new world. An entire global flood would have extinguished everything and Noah his animals and decedents would not survive unless God did a entirely new second creation. He was punishing people. He didn't heed to kill polar bears just the human world.

the entire earth flooding "covering the highest mountains" is a complete myth. The geological record doesn't support it, and a volume of water that massive would have affected the earth's orbit and crushed this planet.
It never happened. Maybe a local flood, but we already know the christians lifted the story from earlier myths.

It wasn't the USA back then because the earth was one land mass. Even the people who study dinosaurs, realize this. In the Bible it states that in the day of Peleg, a few generations after Noah, the earth was divided. It says it several times. Another example of true science never going against the Bible!!

It is not the flood of Noah but a flood done by God at the time of Noah.
Of course, the flood have reached the whole world by virtue and power of God.

That flood was global. God flooded the earth for 40 days and 40 nights. So, yes it reached the USA.
