If they did, they would not be Evangelical Christians . They would just be claiming to be.

Quote, "Would Apocalyptic Evangelical Christians orchestrate terror, chaos and mayhem to prepare for the end times?"
'End times'? Across 2000 years there have been hundreds, thousands of predictions of an 'end time.' Earth will go the way the solar system will go, several billion years from now when our star, the sun, expands and, rather unpleasantly, explodes. Long, long before that, no more and probably a good deal less than, say, a million years away the human species will go the way of all species, extinct. The fantasies of fundamentalist Christians shall play no role in this scenario at all.

I believe there are people who are manipulating political realities to fall in line with their heinous biblical "prophesies." So the answer to your question is a resounding "yes." But I think they are going to be grossly disappointed when the manage to destroy most of the planet and no "savior" shows up. They'd better have good hiding places, because there are going to be a lot of people after them.

hi - it particularly is an exciting misinterpretation of scripture: while Jesus suggested be "smart as serpents and harmless as Doves" he meant "be on the look-out for individuals who will prefer to harm you, yet do no longer undergo everyone any unwell-will". If he had meant "be risky as a snake together as pretending to be as harmless as a Dove" he might have suggested so. in case you're only poking relaxing, bear in mind that words can harm others. in case you actual have confidence those issues, see a physician or a clergyman, until now your delusions do you genuine harm.

No one can prepare for the end times.. they just happen. But once the end times do come reering it's head you'll notice that there's an "oh shiiit... it's actually happening" kind of mentality spreading across the world.

yes this is very possible but only if they are FALSE Prophets, the spirit of the Anti Christ,
Matthew 7:21-23 (NIV)
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
