What are your favourite languages for celebrating mass? Personally, I have experienced many, and find that the most beautiful are the following (roughly arranged from best to least effective in ritual)

In Catholic worship:
Latin
Italian
Arabic
French
Spanish
English (as least suitable language amongst the ones I know)

For Orthodox Worship:

Arabic
Greek
Russian
English (again as least suitable language entirely for Orthodox worship)

I love the Orthodox tradition. The Russian is particularly beautiful.

Latin best for Catholic worship.

I think the essential elemnt of theatre has been lost on Christianity by making it slave of the profane.
Religion is not meant to be accessible to all- hence it's attraction in its mystery.

I'm a non-believer but I do like the theatre of Mass- especially the superb music.

I love mass in Latin -- any Latin at all. Even if the Liturgy of the Word is in the vernacular, using Latin for the Liturgy of the Eucharist in the Novus Ordo mass is very meaningful. I have not yet been to a traditional Latin mass but hope soon to have the opportunity to do so.

I've heard many Spanish masses, as well, including a very beautiful vigil mass at Christmas and a mass during which several hundred children were baptized.

So, if I were to rank the languages in which I've heard mass as you did, they'd be: Latin, then Spanish, then English.
