For what it is worth, I love ppl of all colors. I would not say "all" white ppl are clueless. It just appears that some, if not most are. Thx!

cheerleader,
when you open your third eye, maybe we can talk. i would not claim that blacks can't be racist. that would be a foolish statement. but much of the assertions you made can be deflated with little to no mental energy. but only after you open your third eye. read some African-American philosophy, then come back to this topic. the fact is that most white people probably are clueless about racism. it is too pernicious to just tell us to get over it or deal with it. racism is not going to go away by people ignoring it. that would be tantamount to ignoring lung cancer. not a very wise move.

thunder, i have been told that i could not use the bathroom at a business because I was black. A bunch of prejudiced r-necks tried to intimidate my friends and I because of our color. This was back in the late 80s, not 400 yrs. ago. In the 21st century, a white person called me the n-word and tried to become physically violent with me because I am black. I'm not saying that black people can't turn the same trick. However, black racism is reactionary. White racism, on the other hand, is a proactive phenom. Neither path is ethical and both paths are destructive. Christ's way is love. Try it sometimes.

No they're not clueless, they know it exists.
Because they don't have to deal with it as much as minorities do, the magnitude of it doesn't ring true to them. I hear alot of ppl say that blacks should get over slavery, it was a long time ago & so on, but they don't understand all the other racist struggles that minorities go through as a result of slavery, that minorities go through b/c of the color of their skin period. One good ex is the muslim community.
Some will say whites are oppressed & experience racism. The fact stands that the power structure in America is white and it stands to reason that the laws and power are made for whites which is prob why they seem to be clueless.

The problem is not that white people are "clueless" it's actually that we are oversensitive to "racism".
I hear white people all the time crying about the injustices of racism and how they need to help the poor suffering black man.
Whites have suffered more at the hands of oppression than any other race in the world (if you know anything of the history of the Greeks or Irish you will not deny thig)... blacks, on the other hand, suffer from their own inability create or sustain their neighborhoods and/or countries despite contant aid from non-black countries.
Even Asians, who have dealt with constant opposition have been able to fucntion well in their neighborhoods and their home countries.

No, we are not clueless about racism, we are a victim of it just like EVERY OTHER race and class of people..It's just that we refuse to run around screaming about it all the time, for example: is there a "White History Month" or a "Miss White America" contest? No, but there is a "Miss Black America" and a "Miss Latino America" now, is there a "Caucasian Music Awards" program? No, but there is a "Black Entertainment Awards Ceremony" and a "Latino Music Awards" show...need I continue? And spare me the explanation that the original Miss America contest is for the white folks, because a Black woman and a Latino woman can (and often, do) win those at any time, but would a white entertainer EVER win a BET award, the crown in the Miss Latino America pagent, a Latin Music Award, or, to put it in more pious perspective, a grant from the American ***** College Fund? No, but a black student could get a ANC grant, in addition to any number of other grants available regardless of race! DO you think that there is a chance you can open your mind up a little bit and see it from the perspective of a middle class white student? Not only are we constantly preached equality and anti-racial ethics, we see the reverse from all angles, celebrity awards, historical celebrations - could a white person EVER bar a black person from a celebration or a parade? But the reverse happens to me all the time! I have TRIED to celebrate Martin Luther King Day on the square, and I am treated like an outsider, like I have no business in celebrating. Maybe I will never know what it is like to be a black teen, but I know you will never stop telling me! The truth is, it happens to everyone, we are all stereotyped" italians are mobsters - do you ever hear them cry about it? polish are "stupid pollocks" - but they laugh at themselves, the jewish are "cheap" and the native americans "can't hold their whiskey" asians are all geeks, blondes are all bimbos, cheerleaders are all sluts, I could go on and on, listen to me - EVERYONE is a victim of racism -but some people have created a real market out of racism and have become so one-sided that they THEMSELVES have created these RACIST classes and competitions, to the deliberate exclusion of whites, and has anyone, ever asked for an apology for it? Would you get all "offended and defensive" if I told you that I thought it was wrong to have these exclusive programs, holidays, clubs, and awards designed to deliberately exclude ANY member that is caucasion? Would you not just begin to justify them by spouting statistical data from centuries ago and never bother to open your mind to a contemporary application? I believe you would, in fact, I would bet money that you refuse to even acknowledge this response because it says exactly what you deny and espouse...remember, when you point a finger at me you have 3 more pointing back at yourself - RACIST

I would have to say it is the other way around.
A black person beats up a white person. The white person would consider that assault
A white person beats up a black person. The black person would call that racism.
At this time, I think whites in general know more about racism then African-Americans. For some, everything that goes wrong in their life is blamed on being black and the white man.

They don't seem to be. Your very query exhibits the bigotry and self denial that permeates the left. The steady advert homonym assaults like this one are an attempt to distract persons from the problems. Since they both lack the capacity to have an understanding of the problems or do have an understanding of them and are not able to shield their positions, the revolutionary flock hotel to base private assaults and fake fees of racism. This outcome within the "Boy who cried wolf" syndrome and lamentably this tactic via the left hurts the ones they declare to be protecting probably the most. By continuously bleating racism they desensitize the general public to the very thought of racism and those who might truthfully be sufferers of it pay the cost. The lefts "delicate varieties of racism" are obvious via their hatred for someone from a "rural" subject or whose idiom, diction or accessory differs from their possess. Palin and Bush for illustration. They snobbishly view this change with contempt and decry it as a signal of lack of information. The smartest persons on the earth don't seem to be identified for his or her public speakme capabilities, so although it was once actual that any one was once not up to articulate, the lefts reasoning nonetheless falls flat. Reason has in no way been the lefts robust suite. Intelligent good adjusted persons would not have the steady have got to solid fees of missing intelligence at others, as they're relaxed of their possess. While the sentiment "Ignorant christian redneck white southern republican" or one in all its many variants, is on the whole expressed via the left, they don't see that as bigotry. They forget about the raciest statements of the ones at the left like Chris Matthews, Joe Biden, Rev. Jeremiah Wright the Black Panthers ect extra eroding their credibility and weakening the effectiveness in their favourite political membership (weapon). This tactic resembles the habits of a little one, that after faced with an issue she does now not have an understanding of, responds "Oh yeah, good you are dull!". Your query is "The pot calling the kettle black" however of path you are going to try to learn racial overtones into that ancient pronouncing, you cant support it. It's turn out to be a knee jerk response for progressives to bleat "Racism!" whilst faced with whatever that makes them believe uncomfortable or is intellectually difficult. Perhaps the ones 2 stipulations are interchangeable for the left. The Progressives fake fees of racism are hate speech disguised as ethical superiority, utilized by the ones with a fable of ethical top flooring.

I don't think they are clueless they are just not negatively impacted by it. I believe they know they hold a position of privilege in a racist society even if they don't practice it.
