Do you believe they are two different things? What's the difference? What's YOUR orientation and identity?

To me, sexual orientation relates to your exact sexuality (lesbian, gay, bi, straight, etc) Sexual identity is what u identify as WITHIN your orientation, otherwise known as labels: (femme, butch, stud, bottom/top, etc.) Are my assumptions correct? I'd love to hear others views on this.

Do they actually READ those stories? They were around far before the Bible. I'm not saying the story of Jesus is true or not, but at least acknowledge the relation!
Someone actually posted as a response call 1866666666 an talk to the Devil. Its a lie and you know it. READ THE STORY!

or

2. A cult member like the Jehovas Witness or Mormons who have never obtained a college degree in theology but learned about christianity from thier own cults publications and meetings.

I don't want an answer like "things were always there." How are people so smart to think that nothing created life and that things were always there.

The Big Bang was a meteorite that came from somewhere and hit earth. Where did that came from and what caused it to hit the earth?

I say God created life. Evolutionists say "the universe was always there." That does not have any logic in the real world. Was the whole universe created by accident too. When some one ask "what created us?" Another answer "We evolved." That is not an answer.

atheists and scientists, accuse Christians of not having logic at all. But is it logic to say "things were always there." To build expand energy you need energy.

That Big Bang meteorite should have been pushed from somewhere. It does not make sense to say that every planet, every star, every moon, yes there is more than one moon, and every sun was created by accident. Worse yet to believe that the accident was caused by nothing.

To Jews and Christians (and others too), if you say Allah is the God of Islam and your God is not the same as mine, doesn't that mean that you are actually believing that there is another God? Doesn't all three monotheistic religions teach that there is only one God?

isn't that what many religions claim their heaven will be?
Yet there was a question recently in which many (apparent) christians said they wouldn't do away with evil if they could because then there would be no good.
So, specifically, why can't there be good without evil? How does this affect your view of the afterlife?

Now I know there are a lot of heated debates on religion on Yahoo Answers, but I just found this interesting and I was curious to see what other people thought.

I talked to someone recently who believed that if they prayed for something more than once it was demonstrating a lack of faith. And that God shouldn’t need to be reminded repeatedly that, for example, you hope someone gets well or whatever the case may be.

What do you think?

I just recently saw a movie about how Jesus's whole story is just a plageristic copy of an Egyptian God named Horus who's life is based upon the occurances of our atrological events with the sun. If you know more about this subject, I'm looking for more back-up information. Where can I find it?

Why are protestants always tryng to convert catholics.

Reading these pages I see tons of Evangelicals using their own biased teaching as if it is fact. i have seen the bible interpreted 1000 different ways all people claiming to have the "truth".

Most of the "christians" on the boards appear to be spoon fed some details and they (having limited outlets) spew them onto this board.

i have yet to find someone who can tell me why these guys have such an issue with Catholics. Given that they are all christians.

And dont give me nonsense about praying to mary saints etc, I can give you more biblical and non biblical appologetics for that than you can give me for asking your pastor to pray for you (why not go directly to jesus?)

My father's relatives are all modern Orthodox and his mother was the first to break the chain. He was raised conservative. My mother was raised reformed and I was raised reformed as well, getting bat mitzvaed but not keeping Kosher or Shabbas.

I have been working at an Modern Orthodox camp (the counslers are, not the campers). THey're so cool and it seems like the men and the women have so much more respect for one another.

It's hard to convert in my household, though I'm joining a new Orthodox temple.

I want to convert once I'm living on my own in college. Any suggestions or rules I should learn? How do I convert and will I be accepted? Anybody have the same experience?

I currently live in Utah as a non-Mormon. I'm originally from NY, and lived in Arizona as well. I would like to move someplace without the extreme weather, but that has cultural and religious diversity like I found in NY and AZ. For example, in NY, I was raised Catholic, my best friend was a Methodist, I went to prom with a Mormon and the gay guy in my Spanish class was a Jew. I want to live someplace where a mix like that doesn't get a second glance. Thoughts?

Someone asked 'What do women find wrong with guys in wheelchairs?"

My answer was that women have an instinct which attracts them to the best provider/protector i.e. strong and virile men. And that was nothing compared to what others were saying about inability to perform. Now it says I can't even view the question. Whats up with that? Does it mean the asker banned me or some ****** moralist who hates to read honest truth randomly kicked me? I really want to know what others think so I don't get locked out of every question I answer honestly.

...when we study other literature we do a thing called "close reading" in which we analyze each word of the text, discuss the possible connotations, and write about our interpretations? I majored in English and honestly, there wouldn't have been much to discuss in class if we all didn't form our own opinions on what each piece meant. The whole point of literature (for people that love literature) is that it means different things to different people and we love to sit around and talk about the vast array of possibilities.
