It exists. There isn't much anyone can do except resist it. If you want an easy life, good luck trying to find one. This life we live has challenges and consequences because at the beginning of time, people chose back then not to listen to God. What makes you think if you had the powers of God that you could sugar coat life and make it easy. People still would find away to disobey and rebel.

The temporary allowance of wickedness has very much to do with the superlative wisdom of God and very little to do with his power. His power has NEVER been in question - even the wicked one did not question it in the Garden of Eden. No, the wicked one questioned something else. He was - and is - as intelligent as people today are unaware.
Most people who question the temporary (and yes, it is temporary) allowance of evil do not understand the profound issues involved. And no,the primary issue is NOT free will although certainly free will is involved.
Satan understood perfectly. That is precisely why he raised the very specific challenge to God's sovereignty in the first place. Indeed, success of the magician's sleight of hand is dependent, in large part, on his ability to distract with finesse and style! And that is precisely what Satan has done. For the most part, he has successfully distracted people - with style and finesse! This person is NOT to be underestimated.
And no we do not have to have evil to appreciate good. Really, do you have to have your first born slaughtered and abused to appreciate the rest of your children? Of course not. Do you have to hack off your right arm to appreciate your left arm? Hardly. It is no less so in our world. We do not have to have evil to appreciate good.

without evil, there is no good. without darkness there is no light and without light there is no darkness. its like yin and yang, even if you were God, or had the powers attributed to God, one cannot coincide without the other. without evil, there would be no mistake and without mistake, one would never learn the difference between right and wrong. so yes i would allow the concept of evil to exist. its a learning experience everyone must go through. and its also the fact that one must learn to resist Temptation

If evil didn't exist, there wouldn't be the triumph of good. Nor would there be lingerie, back seats or Captain Morgan. So I'm thinking He knows what He's doing. He could explain Himself, but then again, I've never tried to explain myself to a cockroach.

Yes. Without bad to outweigh the good, nothing is truly good, as there is no alternate basis to compare it against. There would be no appreciation or understanding of the concept of good. Evil would have to exist in order to allow good to exist as well.

Absolutly, without evil, there is no such thing as good, furthermore, without evil, man (in It's current state) cannot exist. Man is by nature, a creature of sin, as are all creatures, It's our instinct (to hunt and kill, to war, etc). We have evolved in a way to allow for a closer balance - we have created common morals (polar opposites, for this instance Christians and LaVeyan Satanists both consider things such as murder, rape, and child molestation immoral), man has created religion, a template for morality. If I were a God (or had the power attribute to God) I would have no choice but to allow evil, because without evil, there is no good, and without a balance, there is no man as the civilized creature we know him as today.
There is no love untouched by hate
No unity without discord
There is no courage without fear
There is no peace without a war
There is no wisdom without regret
No admiration without scorn
There is strife within the tempest
But there is calm in the eye of the storm

Yes. The existence of a thing presupposes/determines the existence of it's opposite. Therefore without evil there could be no goodness.

Evil exist because of man's sinfulness, not God. Man's free will chose evil. God is allowing it for a reason. I trust Him.

For a human being, the value of anything only shows itself when that thing is gone.
Thus knowing our nature, the only logical outcome would be to teach goodness through evil. And to teach the importance of goodness through lack of it: evil.
Evil is a necessary component in a free world. Its a choice. You either chose to be good or not..when youre not...youre evil.

Yes, good is only good if evil exists to counteract and define it. Besides all evil stuff is not so evil as to warrant being destroyed. On top of that who defines evil anyway? Fundamentalists? Hope not....
