Who said he wanted to? Maybe Jesus wept because He was taking Lazurus away from glory, not because Lazarus died.

Sometimes, though, we have to do stuff we don't want to do for the sake of the Lord and His kingdom.

Lazarus died in accordance with God's will so that in Jesus calling him forth and resurrecting him after death would give glory unto God and show that the son of man had the authority given to him by the Father.
