Spiritual death is referred to in the following passage. No one denies that people make choices, but how can a person choose Christ when his will is in bondage to sin and spiritual death?

air can be physically felt and scientifically show to exist as a form of matter.

Let's say I die, and my speculation that there is no afterlife is wrong. I'm standing at the pearly gates, and St. Peter is saying to the person in front of me: "You murdered. You raped children. You tortured your victims. But on your death bed, you accepted Christ as your personal savior. So, you're in!"

Then St. Peter says to me, "You honored your parents. You didn't murder. You didn't steal or commit adultery. But none of that matters because you never accepted Jesus as your personal savior. What say you?"

I say to St. Peter, "I admit my agnosticism, but it's very obvious now that God exists. But in life, God gave me a brain and free will. I used them. I found in using them that life could be lived morally and responsibly without Him. Is that a sin?"

St. Peter then says, "Yes! You might want to prepare for a big fall!"

I've read tons of questions and answers on here about this, and it appears that what I do in life is meaningless unless I accept Christ. True or not?

For those who insist that teaching your children about the biblical God as a belief system and/or tennet to live by faith is brainwashing, doesn't it follow that teaching your children NOT to believe in the God of the bible is also brainwashing them?

All they do is complain about their lives. They play the race card every chance they get and use race as an excuse for why they haven't made anything out of their lives. They are always blaming someone else and never taking responsibility for anything.

Does anybody think it is an evolutionary solution to deal with the anxiety of mortality? If we are trained from childhood to believe in a certain religion we will believe without question.

If we are vulnerable or scared it is like an insurance policy, you do good acts so you can get into a heaven.
