I was saved in 1984 - the day I walked out of the church and never went back.. that's my kind of salvation.

I would suspect that many who are "saved" would find some of your beliefs funny and irrational if you were to tell us about them. But I hope that they would find a way to disagree with your beliefs in a more respectful way then you have done with theirs (ours).

Believe what you want and let others do the same. I'm a Christian and I'm saved, yet I have no problem if you disagree with that belief. That's your right. We ALL could find a way to discuss our particular faiths in a more respectful manner than laughing about them or calling them irrational, don't you think?

Um, exscue me, for one thing take out the word "funny" in your headline. There is nothing "funny" about being saved. Some people take it very seriously, including myself. And I'll just show you the reason why I believe it is not anywhere near your way of thinking.

Christians believe that they are saved when they surrender their lives to Christ, hence the name becoming a "Christian." We are saved from hell and are apart of God's children. We enter His paradise when we die: heaven. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have enternal life."-John 3:16.

HAHA! I'm laughing. It's so funny that we will perish.

Get my point? That's the message you are sending to your readers, particularly Christians. I take it you are not one. You know how wise it would be to become a Christian? I cannot explain how much I love the Lord and see Him working in my life. Please don't ever mock anyone's position, especially mine. Because I don't like anyone making fun of the most important thing in my life: The man who gave His life because He loved me and that I chose to be saved.

Hello Ludd Version 7.0.. :)

No..but I can tell you there is nothing sadder to me, than a person to claim they are not saved.. :(

When we say we are saved we are saying we no longer "want" to sin (do drugs, hate others, lie, cheat, steal etc.)..we have been set free from them..

It would be like when a ship starts to sink and someone comes to rescue them (they are saved).. :)

I pray I answered your question..It is good to see you again.. :)

With Love..In Christ.. :)

If you haven't figured out the problem I suppose the answer wouldn't make much sense.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

I Corinthians 1:18

Family Guy is funnier.

By the way, I agree completely.
Being "saved" is basically admitting to have abandoned rationality and begin worshiping sky-gods.

Yes -- I think it's funnier when reductive materialists deny the causal efficacy of mental phenomena. That really puts me in stitches.
