According to the Bible, the physical body of Jesus Christ was not allowed to decay into dust as did the bodies of Moses and David, men who were used to foreshadow Christ. (Ac 13:35, 36; 2:27, 31) When his disciples had gone to the tomb, Jesus’ body had simply DISAPPEARED. The bandages with which his body had been wrapped were left in the tomb, his body evidently having been disintegrated without passing through the process of decaying. (Joh 20:2-9; Lu 24:3-6.)
Later, While Jesus began his ascent in a physical form, thus being visible to his watching disciples, there is no basis for assuming that he continued to retain a material form after the cloud interposed itself. The apostle Peter states that Jesus died in the flesh but was resurrected "in the spirit." (1Pe 3:18) Paul wrote about the rule that "flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom." (1Co 15:50; compare also Jesus’ statement at Joh 12:23, 24 with 1Co 15:35-45.)
Paul likens Jesus’ ascent to God’s presence in the heavens to the entry of the high priest into the Most Holy compartment of the tabernacle on the Day of Atonement and specifies that on such occasion the high priest carried only the blood (not the flesh) of the sacrificial victims. (Heb 9:7, 11, 12, 24-26) Paul then compares the curtain, which separated the first compartment from the Most Holy compartment, to Christ’s flesh. The high priest in passing into the Most Holy, into God’s typical presence, did not carry the curtain with him but passed through that barrier and beyond it, so that it was behind him. Paul states that "we have boldness for the way of entry into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, which he inaugurated for us as a new and living way through the curtain, that is, his flesh."—Heb 9:3, 24; 10:10, 19, 20; compare Joh 6:51; Heb 6:19, 20."
In both cases, Jesus' entire physical body still just disappeared...not being allowed to decay or "see corruption".

1 Peter 3:18 reads: He was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.
He was put to death in the body but made alive by the spirit is how the New International Version reads. At his resurrection from the dead, Jesus was brought forth with a spirit body. However, in the original Greek text the words “flesh” and “spirit” are put in contrast to each other, and both are in the dative case; so, if a translator uses the rendering “by the spirit” he should also consistently say “by the flesh,” or if he uses “in the flesh” he should also say “in the spirit.”
Thus, the NWT reads, as above, "he was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.
Yes, his body did not see decay. Yes, his heavenly father disposed of the body in some fashion of which the Bible does not report. When he was seen after his resurrection, that was not the body that saw death. If it had been, why was he not recognized when seen? Only when he did something or said something that his followers recognized did they discern it to be Jesus.
Moreover, had he been resurrected in the body that was put to death, he would have taken back what he had just ransomed. Why do we say that? He bought back exactly what was lost. Well, what was lost? Adam lost the opportunity to live forever as a perfect human being on earth. That is what Jesus sacrificed - the opportunity to live forever as a perfect human being. That is why he is referred to in Corinthians as "the last Adam." And that is why the scriptures say that he is spoken of at Acts 13:34 as "destined no more to return to corruption." [Human bodies, even if perfect are able to see corruption or decay.] Jesus will never again inhabit a fleshly body. He was resurrected as a mighty immortal spirit, just as you acknowledged.
Hope this helps.
And Posey P, you may not want to, but you do insult. Not only is your information skewed (Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate the betrayal of Christ and Easter is not what makes a Christian a Christian; following Christ is the definition of a Christian), but you invest in name-calling and bashing without ever bothering to answer the question.

Yes, that is what they believe. Some might even hint that his physical body was dissolved into gases. Well, the Berean has done a splendid job of refuting that idea but I just want to add a couple more points.
Christ's disciples were terrified at seeing him after his resurrection, thinking they were seeing a ghost, or A SPIRIT! But Jesus assured them he was no such thing. "Look at my hands and my feet [with the nail imprints]. It is I myself. Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have." Then he ate fish (Luke 24:36-44). JWs deal with this troublesome fact by saying he materialized a physical body on that occasion in order to 'prove' he was not a spirit! That would be deception, the JWs seem to forget, if he actually was a spirit.
Likewise when doubting Thomas was told to put his finger into the holes on his hands and his side, it would have been sheer deception had Jesus not been raised with the same (but now glorified) body he'd died with (John 20:27).
But the real problem with JW teaching is the way it's linked to their unchristian views of Christ's ransom sacrifice. Witnesses believe a bodily resurrection is impossible as this would cancel out the ransoming of the human race. They believe it was his human life which he offered as a ransom and therefore he could not take it back. Well, just compare Mat 20:28 with John 10: 17-18:
"The Son of Man came... to give his life [psuche] a ransom for many"
"I lay down my life [psuche] that I may take IT again... I have power to lay IT down, and I have power to take IT again."
Clearly, what Jesus laid down as "a ransom for many" he took again in resurrection. But try telling JWs that...

Jon
In John Chapter 2, Jesus said, "Destroy this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up."
The Jews thought He was speaking of the Temple Building.
But then it says, "But He was speaking of the temple of His body (soma)
The greek word for body (soma) ALWAYS means physical body.
Also, someone said above that when the bible says that Jesus will come back in "like manner", that, that means "secretly" or something like that.
What nonsense.
Jesus did not leave secretly.
He left bodily and in full view of all. In fact elsewhere (1Corinthians, I think) it says that Jesus appeared to more than 500 at one time. Since the bible gives no details, it was probably at His Assenssion when this occured. Because when He assended, it does not give us the number of his disiples present. (remember, He had many more than the 12)
So when Jesus comes back, it will be PHYSCIALLY and in FULL VIEW. So you can throw that "invisible" "1914" garbage out the window.
Also, when Jesus appeared to the 12, and showed Thomas His hands and His feet; if He did not appear in His own body, then He lied and deceived Thomas.
He told Him, "It is I, MYSELF, put your finger in My hands and My side." So, if Jesus didn't have His own body, then He was TRICKING Thomas into believing that it was. That would make the Lord deceptive.
As for the times when He wasn't recongnised, it's because He didn't WANT to be recongnised right away. Their understanding was veiled. He was the Same. The difference is, now His body was a Spiritual Body. A Spiritual body does NOT mean a "immaterial" body, but a Body that is controled by the SPIRIT. It can do things that a regular body can't.
Apparently, it can step from the Heavenly dimension into the earthly dimension with no problem.
The Watchtower likes to say, "well, a body of "flesh and blood" cannot inherit the Kingdom of God", so therefore, Jesus couldn't have had a body of flesh and blood.
As usual, they screw up the passage. The passage is NOT talking about "epedermas" and "red corpucsles". But about Sin and the Sin Nature.
Remember, Jesus said, "A SPIRIT does NOT have flesh and bone as you see Me HAVE".
So therefore, a Resurrected body is a body that has flesh and bone, and is capable of doing things that a regular "earthly" body can't.
But it is STILL a physical body.
Remember, Paul said that if Jesus was not raised, then we are still in our sins. And it is clear from the context that he was talking about a physical ressurection.
Also, Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess Jesus as Lord (Almighty God) and believe that God raised Him from the dead (thats physically) you will be saved.
Since the JW's deny those two Cardinal Doctrines, they are still in their sins and are lost.
The Bible knows nothing about a "fake", "deceptive", pretend Resurrection.

Does it suprise you that spirit creatures can make and leave human bodies> Genesis 6 says that the angels forsook their place in heaven to come down to the earth to make human bodies to live with these women.
After Jesus was resurrected he showed himself to many people Acts 1: says for 40 days and in numerous human bodies,. One of them Mary didn't recognize at first.
We are just a little ectoplasm stuck together in a bunch of cells. For them probably not really all that complicated.
Can you imagine what would have happened if Jesus bones was left behind? They would still be worshipped today.

The Bible clearly shows the resurrection of Christ was a bodily resurrection. By using the phrase "bodily resurrection," it is meant that the physical body of Christ rose upon the resurrection. The resurrection is recorded in all four of the Gospel accounts: Matthew 28:1-8; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-10; John 20:1. Matthew's account reveals two women named Mary (Magdalene and "the other Mary") approaching the grave of our Lord. An angel came down from heaven, rolled back the stone that sealed the grave and sat upon it to talk to the women. The angel told them that Jesus was no longer resting in the grave, but was raised. The angel also commanded them to look at the empty grave, the very place the lifeless body of our Lord was laid to rest just three days prior.
JW's dont believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ. They dont believe in the Trinity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ God Almighty. They believe Jesus is the Arch Angel Michael

*** pe chap. 17 pp. 143-146 Christ’s Return—How Seen? ***
However, many persons believe that Christ took his fleshly body to heaven. They point to the fact that when Christ was raised from the dead, his fleshly body was no longer in the tomb. (Mark 16:5-7) Also, after his death Jesus appeared to his disciples in a fleshly body to show them that he was alive. Once He even had the apostle Thomas put his hand into the hole in His side so that Thomas would believe that He had actually been resurrected. (John 20:24-27) Does this not prove that Christ was raised alive in the same body in which he was put to death?
7 No, it does not. The Bible is very clear when it says: “Christ died once for all time concerning sins . . . , he being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18) Humans with flesh-and-blood bodies cannot live in heaven. Of the resurrection to heavenly life, the Bible says: “It is sown a physical body, it is raised up a spiritual body. . . . flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom.” (1 Corinthians 15:44-50) Only spirit persons with spiritual bodies can live in heaven.
8 Well, then, what happened to Jesus’ fleshly body? Did not the disciples find his tomb empty? They did, because God removed Jesus’ body. Why did God do this? It fulfilled what had been written in the Bible. (Psalm 16:10; Acts 2:31) Thus Jehovah saw fit to remove Jesus’ body, even as he had done before with Moses’ body. (Deuteronomy 34:5, 6) Also, if the body had been left in the tomb, Jesus’ disciples could not have understood that he had been raised from the dead, since at that time they did not fully appreciate spiritual things.
9 But since the apostle Thomas was able to put his hand into the hole in Jesus’ side, does that not show that Jesus was raised from the dead in the same body that was nailed to the stake? No, for Jesus simply materialized or took on a fleshly body, as angels had done in the past. In order to convince Thomas of who He was, He used a body with wound holes. He appeared, or seemed to be, fully human, able to eat and drink, just as did the angels that Abraham once entertained.—Genesis 18:8; Hebrews 13:2.
10 While Jesus appeared to Thomas in a body similar to the one in which He was put to death, He also took on different bodies when appearing to His followers. Thus Mary Magdalene at first thought that Jesus was a gardener. At other times his disciples did not at first recognize him. In these instances it was not his personal appearance that served to identify him, but it was some word or action that they recognized.—John 20:14-16; 21:6, 7; Luke 24:30, 31.
11 For 40 days after his resurrection, Jesus made appearances in a fleshly body to his disciples. (Acts 1:3) Then he left for heaven. But some may ask: ‘Did not the two angels present tell the apostles that Christ “will come thus in the same manner as you have beheld him going into the sky”?’ (Acts 1:11) Yes, they did. But notice that they said “in the same manner,” not in the same body. And what was the manner of Jesus’ leaving? It was quiet, without public display. Only his apostles knew about it. The world did not.
12 Consider how the Bible describes the manner in which Jesus left his apostles on his way to heaven: “While they were looking on, he was lifted up and a cloud caught him up from their vision.” (Acts 1:9) So when Jesus began going into the sky, a cloud hid him from the literal eyesight of his apostles. The departing Jesus, therefore, became invisible to them. They could not see him. Then in his spiritual body he ascended to heaven. (1Â Peter 3:18) Thus his return also would be invisible, in a spiritual body.

1 Peter 3:18 "Why, even Christ died once for all time concerning sins, a righteous [person] for unrighteous ones, that he might lead YOU to God, he being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the spirit."
1 Corinthias 15:40 " And there are heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly bodies is one sort, and that of the earthly bodies is a different sort"
1 Corinthias 15:42-44 " So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised up in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised up in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised up in power. 44 It is sown a physical body, it is raised up a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual one"
1 Corinthias 15:47-50 " The first man is out of the earth and made of dust; the second man is out of heaven. 48 As the one made of dust [is], so those made of dust [are] also; and as the heavenly one [is], so those who are heavenly [are] also. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the one made of dust, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly one"
