I can only relate to you what happened to me. I had known a little, only a very little about God and Jesus as a kid and young adult. When I was 19, I had a miracle happen to me. I will say that the Lord DID enter my heart and mind, and I DID hear His voice. I would go into details, but I don't know if you would be open to hearing it. Despite this occurance, I still did not believe very much in God. At age 24, I myself asked Jesus into my heart. I have suffered many things since, and have done many foolish things and sins the likes of which I don't think you would believe if I told you. Where did you come up with this? I have never heard any Christian make this type of statement. I did not see God. I did not physically feel God. I did, however, feel God in my heart, and that is where it matters.

I wont speak on behalf of any Christian, because am not one.

But I will speak on behalf of other people who believe in God.

And I want to ask you:

is it so wrong to believe that the power behind all that is, is not a human?

is it so wrong to believe that there is a being out there that does not have an ego?

that there is a being I can trust, a being I know I can depend on, because all humans have egos -even I- and all humans are bound to hurt me one way or another..and be self serving and selfish because of those egos..

is it so wrong to be hopeful that at the end of it all, there will be a higher power that will give peace to those who have never found any while alive?

and who will also punish the people who lived to hurt other people?

Tell me then..is it so wrong?

Edit: Im Muslim. We dont believe in an egotistical God.

Comparing God to air is an awful metaphor. I'm a Christian and I'm not so dumb that I would ever use it.

You are way off base when you say that people who believe in God have no brains. How dare you even think that the MILLIONS of Christians in this world (many of them educated) are stupid? Stop making biased comments just because you, unfortunately, don't believe the truth.

Science can't explain everything..What's on the outside of our universe?? Atheists would say ..."Nothing , because you can't prove there is anything there." The answer is that we don't know.. Science can indeed prove.."how" things happen,. but it does not prove "why".
Atheists think everything has happened out of some massive fluke including the making of stars planets etc.We say that it must have taken a great deal of 'fine tuning' to get gravitational forces to make stars...an accident??..I don't think so.
As for brains leaving bodies...yours seems to have taken a holiday..it's "their brains" not " they're brains"..tut tut.

God is Spirit, and those that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
I was once spiritually dead - insensate to the existence of God.
One day I became born again, and my spirit was made alive - capable of perceiving the (physically) invisible spiritual realm.
Ever since that day God has been as real to me as any other flesh and blood person - and more real, becaue I know many flesh and blood people that died and I could no longer interact with them. God goes on forever.
It's quite narrow minded to say "Because I don't have it, therefore it must not exist"

Well evidently by your question your sense of respect has left your body in shame and disgust.
People believe wind is their because even though they cannot see it they can feel it
People believe in Henry the 8th because of what is written in books and painted on canvases
As is why people believe in god and the christ child
Please when you next ask a question at least have the decency not to insult anyone.
God Bless

Why does Adams tummy button talk out of his @rse?

You never heard of allowing people to worship if they want to and also allowing those pea brains to comment, but hey its not ok to rubbish another unless of course you don't mind getting rubbish back.

Please do stop talking clap and keep the trap shut.

When you have lived a little longer you may learn a little more.

Take electricity , it is a better example than air.

You can not touch it, see it or taste it but you learned the effects that it has and you learned how to use it. How come you do not learn to fellowship with God.

I have seen an angle, who look like a regular person and then he vanished.

MY EXPERIENCES

Yes. I experienced God many of times, when you fellowship with him. He will be there for you, he knows your needs and wants. One night after doing the will of God (ministering to some one) I was driving back home and I continued to fall asleep on the fwy. On the third time, I felt a rush of pins and needles hit the inside of my head, from my elbows to my hands and then I was wide awake. I drove all the way home and when I got into the driveway I started to fall a sleep. Once he picked me and my motorcycle up, while riding in the mountains after I was about to crash. He set me back on the path and I woke up. Once he sent an angle down to stop me from doing something stupid, this angle looked like a human but when I turned away for a second and then back he vanished. I can go on and on. Have faith, sit in a church and learn God's word. You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

Well see who is the idiot. I guarntee you will remember this when you are judged.

Can you display a link to what your quoting...I'm a christian and never tried to compare believing in God to a physical substance. I don't think I've ever heard any other Christian do that either. That's why they call it faith though, because there isn't anything physical to believe in.

Your question is just trying to illicit an angry response...try again.

Love cannot be physically felt nor scientifically shown to exist as a form of matter.

Does that mean that you have no love?

I'll stick with God, Who is Love.
