Let me give you the lowdown of Nate's parents, Its like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter had a child, yes my parents are that conservative! That Child has always been gay. My dad will make jokes(Horrid ones) about Rosie. My Mom banned Ellen after the Coming out Show. "Not in my House".

Now I am in College....Living basically Independently. Except for a few dollars here and there when they do come visit.

Should I tell my parents that I am gay? Or should I not even tell them?

Why is that when a christian/jew/muslim etc. says their god exists because they have faith they think that's perfectly reasonable, but when I say I have faith in an invisible pink flying unicorn that rests on the rings of saturn and occasionally rapes catholic priests they think I'm being ridiculous. Neither beliefs seem to require proof when faith is involved, so are they al just being selfish?

This is God's "Perfect Plan"?

People who daily and deliberately ("free will") choose sin over God are supposed to teach me to love God more than sin?

If they can't do it themselves, what business have they trying to teach me? Surely their methods and practices are seriously flawed if even while proclaiming their love of God they continue to freely choose sin over god.

How can those who love sin (and Satan) more than God teach me to love God more than sin (and Satan)?

(providing they get on ok of course). I hate the idea of my mum going into a home with a load of old grans in armchairs...she's coming to live with us and she's over the moon about it. I'm sure that with love and determination we can make it work. We'll have our ups and downs, but one day at a time we'll be fine. I would just suffer more to think of her in a home or continuing to live the lonely life she has now in sheltered accommodation. Family is everything and nothing can take it's place.

Just through interest, the Australian defense minister said yesterday that one of the reasons Australian troops are in Iraq is to help secure the oil supplies to the west. This is the first time that any government official I know of has admited to Iraq being largely about control of oil reserves. In the past they have outright denied any connection with oil.

Is that why Iraq got attacked but all the other muslim countries other than Afghanistan have been left alone.

If they are so looking forward to it, what's the point of here and now, does here and now mean nothing? why get married, have children, work, go to school etc., if "it's so near."

I went to rent a movie a couple of weeks ago and a JW friend of a friend asked if I had watched an unconvenient truth, I said no not yet, but I've heard about it. He said you need to rent this, this really shows that the end is near! It's coming! it was pretty disturbing.

I currently work at an airport and a soldier who was here to redeploy to Iraq was about to commit suicide outside the terminal due to his feelings on the war and everything that has transpired in his life since the war. A police officer spotted him and stopped him. (This was about a week ago.)

Do you think more good has come from this war or more bad? And please, give your reasons.
I want to ask here, because this is the section where I spend most of my time.

Since the smoking ban came into force, there have been lots of comments from smokers arguing their right to smoke wherever they chose. They also tend to give thumbs down to anyone who dares to disagree. I will probably get the same response here.

But I'm going to give you a chance to show how reasonable you can be. Given that...

a) If you smoke in a room, and let's ignore the health issues for now, everyone else in the room WILL have to breath your smoke and WILL go home smelling of your smoke

b) If YOU are prevented from smoking in that same room, YOU are the only person who is personally affected

...justify to me, in any way other than a purely selfish one, why smoking should still be allowed in enclosed public spaces where non-smokers are present.

I have absolutely no problem with anyone smoking. It's your choice. I just don't see why I should have to deal with the consequences.

I await your responses with interest, but not a great deal of hope.

I finally figured out why I am always depressed I am pretending to be some1 i am not and this whole time i was believing my own lies...I’m not the dark depress girl I make myself seem to be (ok this going to get confusing) but what I mean is YES I am depressed but I am pretending to be what Ex wants me to be(what I mean is the rocker chick who loves trouble when pretending to be some1 that I am not is hurting me eating me up inside pos) I don’t like dark gothic stuff I just think that it is really exotic art....it interest me.....I think I need help I forgot who Nikki is I know that deep down I have this love for jewel (the singer)and being blonde and I guess u can say girlie....im scared I cant live a life a lies and on top of that im always in pain............idk who i am im scared......who am I!!!! what happenings to me, all kinds of **** happen to me in my life that I lost my happiness, and im scared no1 can help me omg I’m scared!! Read revelations, the 7 seals, and the writings about the popes and about how prophecies ended with this pope and St. Bendidict mentioned that he would have the last pope...meaning he would be from the benidictian order or in this case he took on his name!
