Anyone else think the world is ending?

Question

Read revelations, the 7 seals, and the writings about the popes and about how prophecies ended with this pope and St. Bendidict mentioned that he would have the last pope...meaning he would be from the benidictian order or in this case he took on his name! Floods in the plains, fires in the west, hurricanes in the south, heat waves in the southwest. Is the world rapidily ending? Tell me what you think and leave any other sources you think might be useful to this discussion.

I find the subject really interesting and do read about it, but I really hope it isn't distracting people from the fact that we're here now and supposed to be doing God's work. The bottom line is that He will return like a thief in the night and we need to be ready for the event ... in our hearts.

Why do you think the Pope is mentioned in Revelation?
In Revelation(WRITTEN BY JOHN BY THE WAY not Paul!) it talks about the last Antichrist. Now there have been many Antichrists. Someone is an Antichrist when they deny Jesus is Christ and God's only son.
Here's a few things bible says for sure will happen before the end:
1-Gospel preached to all the earth-not sure if this has yet
2- Israel gets land back-happened and they will NEVER leave it
3-wars-yep
4-More and more natural disasters-yep
5-It will like it was in Sodom and Gomorrah-YES for sure, being homosexual is a "lifestyle" now.

Hmm... the things you described sounds a lot like global warming. It won't come to an end so soon unless we help solve it. The prophecies do sound a little creepy, though. But we'll never know, right? The uncertainty makes me want to live everyday the best I can in every way I can, and I think that's why the real, exact date and time of the world's end isn't going to be revealed that easily. Clever, isn't He?

I don't think the world will end anytime tomorrow aside from that.

This world is going thorugh birth pains before the tribualtion starts, and after the great tribulation under a one world government with a world dictator things will be the worst mans has even know, then Jesus returns with his church(the raptured saints) and puts an end to all those that oppose him. So yet we are in the end of the end. Just look at the signs. 2 weeks ago the EU called themselfs the new superstate making new treatys. They are after thier first Foreign Chief, who has axtraordinary abilitys to make peacekeeping and peacemaking to other nations on behalf of the EU. Watch out, because this world will soon face a teribble, terrible time, such as the world has never know.

Yes- the world appears to be going to hell but I do not attribute it to some Biblical prophesy. It is just the result of environmental changes as a result of global warming which are slowly causing climates to shift and natural disasters to occur with more frequency.

It's been ending ever since it began. Introducing religious dogma, conjecture, gossip and fables neither accelerates, nor impedes, the demise of our planet.

Well, religious dogma usually results in warfare, so perhaps that aspect of my comment should be stricken from the record.
