That this forum is open to the public - all my personal questions have been aired around my boyfriends office. It has destroyed him and us. I did not realise that anyone could google my name and find out who I am - now all his colleagues know every personal bit of information I have ever asked (and answered). It has destroyed us as a couple - he now has to change jobs where he was doing really well - and we (especially I) cannot face most of his colleagues ever again just cos one idiot in his office googled my name and found all my personal questions on this.
So just a warning to everyone else. 'BIG BROTHER' is out there for real.

How can you believe in god without any proof? I honestly do not know how anyone can 100% believe in god. What makes/made you believe in god. I mean you look at other religions and "know" they aren't right and they think the same thing about you.

I am a young person and am still not grasping all the reasons to accept an athiestic view. I am intelligent for 14 but please explain. I am very well educated on Christianity and as well educated on athiestic views but am still stumbling to grasp the concept. Please help

I really am onsidering the Wicca religion, and I was raised as a catholic believer, i am not saying i dont believe in God, but, am unsure, I feel somewhat guilty for considering this, is it because i am young? or because i am meant to be a christian? I really would like a serious religious opinion and not a researched one. thank you

You look at other countries that we have emulated and they have been/are on the path of genocide and self destructive patterns that constantly reoccur. We put so much emphasis on the color of skin (something we invariably cannot change) and ridicule and waste time arguing over inherent differences that don't exist, and have never exclusively been proven to exist. We come up with ideologies that are false to make ourselves feel better about those differences and instead of judging individuals based on merit and character we again form biases based on ethnocentrism. We are bigoted, we suffer from superiority complexes, and we fail to utilize the time and funds we have to help those in need. Instead we buy the most expensive forms of utility we can afford disregarding our part to the environment and to our fellow man, and instead offer the blatant excuse of "it's my money I can do what I want to with it because this is America... : |

...is it punishment (if it is something bad), or is it just a law that has no meaning. What about karma?

I am asking because I don't see a lot of people that realize they have received what they put out there and they keep doing the same things over and over again. I am speaking of bad things.

Just wondering what others think.

You say your God knows all, so before creating Adam and Eve he knew they would sin, and in turn on Judgement Day Billions of people would be sent to hell and would get tortured for the rest of eternity.(many peaceful people are not Christians eg. 1 Billion Hindus, 600 million + Buddhists etc.)
So is your God such a entity who knows that at some point Of time would create a creation Whose many(billions) of Sons he knows in advance will suffer eternal pain.
Would he create a creation for whom he knows
one day HIS OWN SON JESUS WILL SUFFER very much.

No human father would create a ROBOT if he knew in advance that the ROBOT would torture his son.(In context to the fact GOD creating humans while knowing humans would torture his son JESUS one day)
Why Not Create A Creation Which Was As Perfect As Him (GOD)

Atleast I know that no KIND HUMAN BEING if granted the ability to create would create a creation whom he knows he would have to torture in the future.(In context to the fact GOD creating Human race while knowing in advance that many humans would be tortured in Hell).
Tell me would you give birth to your child if you know in advance that when he grows up he will be a mass murder and a danger to society and that one day you would have to kill him?
Kind Parents punish their children again and again when they make mistakes and do not allow them Free will to commit sin for his entire Life and in the end throw them into a pit of fire.

I've seen it said a few times on Y!A that as long as you have faith in God, you will go to Heaven. I want to know this: If you are a mass murderer, rape and molest children, commit adultery, and commit every other sin known to man, but you have faith in God, will you still go to Heaven?

I read and hear how our children of today, is much worse than how most of us were raise years ago, they took discipline out the schools, now people wants to run everyones household, now you can not discipline your own children in your own home, without some telling their parent how they are going to report them to police or child protective agency and the police. these children is starting to think that they can run every thing, because of this law. some of these children need their butt spanked a few times or more, I see children who hit their parents,steal, threat,kill,and use profanity. to each it;s own I believe people should have the right to raise thier child the way they want to, just to bring respect and keep them submissive and humble. the bible says spear the rod and spoil the child, God is in favor for discipline. He that spears the rod hateth his son; but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. everyone wonder why these children are dying and going crazy. no discipline

If it didn't work, then it wouldn't happen. What possible reason would people think that the plumbing doesn't function, when obviously it functions just fine for those of us who are so inclined? And why would they reach such a conclusion when gay folks don't perform any activities that aren't common among straight folks, too?

Why does this "plumbing" argument against homosexuality make sense to anyone?

When I was in a third to 5th grades, I kept having a crush on every single girl that I wanted to date, kiss, whatever. As I started to grow older, I was exposed to some sexual relations with my distant cousins and neighbors who were all boys. At first it was gross, but I quickly got used to it, because it was all "part of the game". When I was about 13, 14, I remember a strong attraction towards men. At 16 I wanted to date one. I started studying sexuality and quickly adopted the label "gay". I dated guys, broke up with them many times, have been in abusive relationships and never got what I needed out of them. Than, at about 21, I started to feel like I didn't want to do anything with guys anymore, but the idea of me being "gay" kept me from discovering my attraction towards girls which I've kinda left at my 5th grade. Now, I'm 24 and I feel grossed out by all the things I ever did with guys, and feel an extremely strong attraction towards women. No one believes me, but I'm not gay!

So let us reason:
It is a fact documented in your very Bible that all men of God that have passed, prophets & regular folk, prayed as muslims do, i.e., by prostrating.

Reference this, for a list of verses in the Bible where prostration is mentioned:

Do you not see that ALL people who believe in the ONE God prayed like this in the past? Even Jesus Christ (may the peace & blessings of God Almighty be upon him)! Just as muslims do today!

Don't you see that the religion of Jesus Christ (and all other men of God) was Islam? Don't you see that that one method of worshiping & praying -- by prostration -- is no longer a part of Christianity?

Why don't you go back to your roots? Why don't you go back to the Bible? Why don't you fall upon your face whenever you wish to speak with your Lord?
