I'm 14 also. I'm very much Christian, and I've spent a lot of my time researching evidence of both evolution, the big bang, and creationism. (And I spit out the facts here. :) You will get many opinions from just 2 sides of the spectrum, and it does get difficult. Some atheists don't really care, some get so angry it's somewhat funny, and some are just simple and explain their sides rationally and civil. Same with Christians. I guess there aren't any reasons to really grasp an athiestic view because the only evidence for them is, they've never seen God. And they may say other things, but the meaning of all of those other things goes back to "you can't see Him." I'm not an athiest, so I can't exactly explain much to you, but if you ever have any question at all about things they say, I can answer them. All. I suppose it's like a gift. Er, something. And it's fun...... email if there are any questions you may have.

Not Atheist myself.
You see earlier mankind when without knowledge thought rains, earthquakes and other natural forces as God's wrath, modern science explained this phenomenon very well.
yet a lot of things need to be found.
In my view God means a system of coordination in the Universe, just like mother nature.
To prove my thory I shall say that there are many constants in the Universe(Discovery Channel) and a tiny tip of balance in these constants would just obliderate the Universe, there are many other phenomenons throughout Universe which seem coordinated and not Random activity that is why I think that Universe is not a random creation but created by coordinated action.

Ok, since you are very well educated on christianity, perhaps you can care to shred some lights on the possibility of a loud mouth god that refused to make any comment lately ..... say about for the pass 2000 years?
The Atheistic view is simple ..... There is not a shred of evidence to believe the existence of a god of any sort. Until that evidence show up, atheist will tend not be put their brains to the task of believing in imaginary beings as if there is any reason to believe one such imaginary being, it would be fair to believe in the next 2000 such beings in line, just to be fair.

The fear of death and damnation drives many religious views. The sins of man spoken of in Christianity are placed upon the belief that being cast out of paradise for seeking knowledge of good and evil has made us all born sinners. A man named Jesus spoke of also was crucified for the sins of man as a lesson. In an Athiest point of view there is no original sin and was never or ever gonna be this utopian existence of paradise because of the veil we all have upon ourselves as sinners. Once again religion being the touchy much debated subject it is, I would have to guess that as an Athiest it is easier to accept that we are responsible for what we do and it is not easy to say we were born of sin. Guilt maybe drives this, but being not of the Athiest religion this is my view.

This is one I believe you have to figure out for yourself. If you can't make the connection after studying enough to make you claim that you are "very well educated on Christianity", then you will never be an Atheist.
You either believe or you don't...well, you could investigate Agnosticism....wherein you don't assert there is a God as there is no tangible proof, nor do you deny the possibility of God.

my answer may even confuse you more,
but it is not like that so
believe you me,
there is nothing like athiests v/s God,
grasping the reasons for athiest/thiest is not
that easy, other-wise you could have...
there will be a time in future, when all your doubts
either for being thiest or athiest come to the clearity
one can make you believe athiestic view... if a strong
athiest decides and like wise a stong thiest can make
you believe thiestic view... for a while ... till
the clearity about being thiest rose from inside....
the TRUTH always prevails.... sooner or sure at the END,
no doubt at all, sure...

Ok, well i am about the same age and VERY well educated in that. I am interested in the Wicca religion, i know some people hate it, but start researching it. do what your heart says. and look up things.Let me break down the Wiccan religion, it is basically the belief of many gods and goddesses. The main rule is to do what you want as long ias it harms none, if you would like to discuss it with me, since we have tthe same problems at this age, email me, by yahoo answers on my page.

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

It's a very simple concept, there is no evidence for any gods. The only reason most people believe is because they were, for lack of a better word, brainwashed since they were very young. Didn't you ever notice that almost every theist is the same religion as his parents?

First you need to accept that death is part of life, and the Bible is just a bunch of rubbish that was written by manipulative people long ago to appeal to ignorant peasants. Read books. Some recommendations include: "The God Delusion," and "Letter To A Christian Nation," and "God Is Not Great."
