Anand is without any equivalent in English. Happy has sad as its opposite. but anand has no opposite in Hindi or sanskrit ( Sukh has dukh, harsh has vishad etc.) So this word denotes the pleasure derived from the company of the Atma or God. It does not denote any pleasure derived from material things and obtained through the five sensory organs. Anand is an inherent property (Guna in Hindi) of the atma / parmatma and is relished by the self without the help of mediu of the sensory organs

It is more often translated "bliss", than "pleasure" since the connotation (in English anyway) is different. Achieving the awareness of Sat and Chit, leads to Ananda, or 'bliss"; a sort of ecstatic mental state that goes FAR beyond a mere sensation of the body. It is impossible to explain further to someone who has not experienced it, any more than one can explain what sugar tastes like to someone who has never experienced sweetness. One can only realize what is meant when you have the experience; only THEN you will truly know what is meant by "Ananda"!

Sat-chit-ananda is the nature of the Absolute, it is Pure Existence, Pure Knowledge, Pure Bliss. It is also the essential nature of every human being. Once this is understood, it can be felt and then experienced.
Here ananda is more than pleasure, it is bliss. It is the bliss of oneness with the Universe. Just being there and knowing everything at its root level is the cause of this bliss.

this means eternal bliss. happiness or anand can't be defined it is purely personal. if u hear a fine music u r nerves will be rejuvinated. this is bliss. sacchidanand means enjoying in the company of godmen or in their world. it requires lot of concentration to get that. those who are in that mood may not bother about materialistic world and its activities. they are saints fakirs and sadhus who are in the path of almighty.
