If it didn't work, then it wouldn't happen. What possible reason would people think that the plumbing doesn't function, when obviously it functions just fine for those of us who are so inclined? And why would they reach such a conclusion when gay folks don't perform any activities that aren't common among straight folks, too?

Why does this "plumbing" argument against homosexuality make sense to anyone?

Well, the primary argument is against using the anus for anal sex, and the foolish quasi-science 'authorities' (usually Bible College drop-outs) insist that, 'because the anus is intended for elimination, it should not be used for sex'.

Well, guys, what about the penis? Isn't it intended for elimination, as well?

Yes, it's true, in humans (at least in male humans) some organs have more than one function. Who knew?

So if you need to insist that the anus shouldn't be used for sex (something a lot of Evangelical and Roman Catholic men like to do with their wives and mistresses, but never admit to in public), then you also have to insist that the penis be reserved exclusively for urination, and not for 'filthy' sex.

You see, the logic isn't there, and he argument is specious and unscientific, at best.

The "plumbing" argument doesn't make sense as both the penis and anus are multi-function organs. So is the vagina---an organ for receiving the semen for fertilization and an organ for delivering a new life to the world. It also has an opening at the end of the uretha for expulsion of urine. A three-function organ. I really hate it when arguments like this fall apart so easily, don't you?

Also straight people perform oral and anal sex as well as get into "golden showers" and other "deviations" such as animal sex, orgies, etc.

So I suggest that heterosexuals get a grip and look at reality. They are just as "evil" as the gays---the only difference is that the heteros have more control of the media so that they spin things their way. People complain about the antics of gays on Pride Day, convienently forgetting about heterosexual hijinks during pre-Easter events in New Orleans, Fasching in Germany, Carnival in Rio, etc.

I would like to hear from the heteros about how they defend their throwing beads to young women as payment for showing their breasts while criticizing gays for similar behavior. Such hypocracy!!

This reminds of an episode of Oprah Winfrey, which featured, Dennis Rodman. It was some years back, but as I recall she asked him, if he had ever kissed, a man? I forget, what his response was, but a male audience member shot back with, that would be nasty. Mr. Rodman to his credit, said without hesitation, unless you have kissed a man, how would you know? The man, was at a loss for words as he claimed, to have never had the experience. I thought to myself, if he has never kissed a man, where is this coming from? He looked foolish, as he had nothing, to base his argument on. Do you get my point?

You know what pisses me off? You don't see those same homophobes knocking on the bedrooms of straight pairs and telling them they shouldn't have anal sex. When a man and a woman have anal, that's perfectly allright and normal. But when two gays do it, it's unhealthy and unnatural and harmful and sinful and whatever else. Such hypocrisy.

Let me approach this from a different angle....even if "the plumbing" didn't work properly at times, i.e., leaks, clogs and ill fittings, I'd keep fiddling with the hardware anyway.

Its a lazy argument. If they had the mentality to actually understand what they were saying .. they would see the error in the ways.

Common sense isn't so common these days.

Oh I love that argument about "the parts aren't made to work that way", it's so stupid and lazy of a argument. They seem to forget that "the parts" don't always fit too well in a heterosexual act all the time either. *snicker*

It's really dumb. I think because we can't have kids they see it as an automatic sign that it's wrong. As far as the sex part, I think they are just clueless, most of them are to ignorant and brainwashed to even realize that we do most of the same things they do. They just see it as wrong or sinful and usually don't have the mental capacity to think logically.
