"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD" Isaiah 1:18

So let us reason:
It is a fact documented in your very Bible that all men of God that have passed, prophets & regular folk, prayed as muslims do, i.e., by prostrating.

Reference this, for a list of verses in the Bible where prostration is mentioned:

Do you not see that ALL people who believe in the ONE God prayed like this in the past? Even Jesus Christ (may the peace & blessings of God Almighty be upon him)! Just as muslims do today!

Don't you see that the religion of Jesus Christ (and all other men of God) was Islam? Don't you see that that one method of worshiping & praying -- by prostration -- is no longer a part of Christianity?

Why don't you go back to your roots? Why don't you go back to the Bible? Why don't you fall upon your face whenever you wish to speak with your Lord?

No, I don't see that. I've prostrated, and I've witnessed other Christians do it as well. It is part of the ordination rite in the Orthodox and Catholic Churches. It is also part of the Good Friday liturgy.

I am thinking that it is because not all the men of God always prayed by prostrating themselves. Examples:

John 17:1 - "These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee"

Matthew 6:5
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full."

So I'd say it depends. It may be an emotional thing as to how overcome you are.

When Jesus was giving the Sermon on the Mount, he was ask how do we pray: This was his reply while sitting on mount:
Matt: 6: 9-15 : Our Father which art in Heaven, Holy be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, Lead us not into temptation, but Deliver us from Evil, for thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, Forever. AMEN.
He did not instruct us as to prostrate, kneel, sit or lie-down. He just simply said that this is the way to pray.

This question keeps popping up about Jesus being a Muslim. Jesus was a Jew. They pray at the Weeping Wall by bowing over and over again as they pray.
I don't think the position while praying is as important as the prayer. Muslim prostration is a tradition in praying. Most Christians, during their services, pray standing at their pews or kneeling at an alter.
Remember, Jesus came not to change the laws, but to fulfill them and taught us a new way of communing with God.
The important part of prayer is to Praise God, Ask his Will and do it, Ask for Forgiveness of any sins committed that day, Ask for Leadership in the Right Path, and Finish by Praising him Again.

You are speaking of Muslims argument to Christianity--for the logic of Muslim prayer.

Jesus said "When ye pray go in to your closet" He also stated "Do not stand in the square and beat your chest as the manor of some is."

His example of prayer "Our Father which art in heaven Hallow it be thy name...."

We do not lay prostrate because the Bible does not say so--each example you give from your web site had reasoning for prostration. I will stick with my roots--please use appropriate context to convert.

I'm observing that, Instead of looking at the References, the questioner has presented, Answerers are imposing their own throught over their own Bible. They think that their thought is much higher than the Bible!!! You people are without minds and thoughts actually.

I bet you that since you don't know the insights of your Bible, you'll never succeed know the fact that it is nowhere mentioned that Jesus was God or God's son, or the claims of Jesus that he is saying that "I'm God"...

This is Challenge for u ;-)

You're wrong, because Jesus Christ is True Man and True GOD! Jesus Christ has a distinct human and divine nature in one divine person! Praise the LORD Jesus Christ to the Glory of God the Father in the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever, amen! God bless.

Why are you afraid to use the new testament.Matthew Private Prayer 6:5 “Whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray while standing in synagogues and on street corners so that people can see them. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. 6:6 But whenever you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. 6:7 When you pray, do not babble repetitiously like the Gentiles, because they think that by their many words they will be heard. 6:8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 6:9 So pray this way: Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored, 6:10 may your kingdom come,
may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
6:11 Give us today our daily bread, 6:12 and forgive us our debts, as we ourselves have forgiven our debtors. 6:13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
6:14 “For if you forgive others their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 6:15 But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you your sins
God do not want us to be hypocrites. God Bless

Jesus answer to Muslims would be:

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Rather ridiculous to claim that the "religion" of Jesus was Islam, since Islam did not even exist at the time.

Jesus Christ has nothing to do with the false god and false prophet of Islam. Not to put too fine a point on it!

Dude, sticking your butt up in the air does not matter to god.

Who cares how you pray, what is important is the meaning, not reciting special phrases and moving in a certain way.

Jesus wore sandles too.....do I have to wear sandles to be a christian?

Is your allah really that rigid? Where your prayers don't count unless you do a bow, dip, kiss the floor, put your right leg in, put your right leg out, ect?

Good thing I don't worship allah, I would go crazy, I don't even like going to mass
