You look at other countries that we have emulated and they have been/are on the path of genocide and self destructive patterns that constantly reoccur. We put so much emphasis on the color of skin (something we invariably cannot change) and ridicule and waste time arguing over inherent differences that don't exist, and have never exclusively been proven to exist. We come up with ideologies that are false to make ourselves feel better about those differences and instead of judging individuals based on merit and character we again form biases based on ethnocentrism. We are bigoted, we suffer from superiority complexes, and we fail to utilize the time and funds we have to help those in need. Instead we buy the most expensive forms of utility we can afford disregarding our part to the environment and to our fellow man, and instead offer the blatant excuse of "it's my money I can do what I want to with it because this is America... : |

A better question would have been, do Americans have too much freedom?

Dr. **** Whore you can't expect anyone to take you seriously unless you get an education. When you stop posting prostitution adds on craigslist.com get out of your trailer park and take a couple classes at your local elementary school and you'll be well on your way to being a doctor...when hell freezes over.

BTW How many doctors spend their free time on Yahoo! Answers...lol

Maybe because America is the strongest and the youngest... (Envy... yes.) And because America has different religious stand points. And because we are the free nation and we can do whatever we want and we can't go to jail because that's freedom of speech. (But if it's something upon Christians, ok make them take off their cross...) Oh, and because America is very air-head infested...

We are hated for a number of reasons. Honestly, I could care less about each and every one of them. Is that wrong of me? Do you really care if someone you don't know, who lives thousands miles away, thinks your a jerk? If you do, you need help.

People go on and on about how we are hated. No one ever talks about the good things that we do. That, my young friend, is called being biased. If you are not an American you are pretty much expected to hate Americans, especially in certain regions of the world. We are the strongest and, for being a superpower, the youngest. We stick our noses into places others won't, whether it's asked of us or not. Why? Because we can. Is that right? I don't know really as I don't have access to all the information our leaders do. History will decide if we were right or wrong.

Your best bet is to not let it upset you. The American Dream is alive and well and any individual in this country can rise up from nothing to have everything they ever dreamed possible. Try doing that in many of those countries who hate us so much.

You should also look at this, we do a lot of good things for those people who hate us so much: http://www.usaid.gov/

Love your country. Fear your goverment. Don't be stupid.

i don't think America is nearly as hated as the few outspoken enemies would like us to think. we are the youngest nation, most progressive, have a huge melting pot of the finest scientists, engineers, generals, etc., i don't put people down to feel better about myself. in fact. I fee fine about me and I truly love all people - i don't careawhat race or age or religion, etc., they are. We are no more bigoted than those other countries who struggle against their own enemies just like we do. If it was so great somewhere else, i'm sure most would be over there, back home. but the truth is, it's not. we are the GREATEST Nation in the World and everyone would like to have an opportunity to taste the american lifestyle they see so often in the movies. hope this helped???

i do no longer see the thank you to declare that the branch of the rustic because of the passions interior the election is McCain's fault. Are you so biased which you in ordinary terms see the faults of the Republican occasion and can't know the faults of the Democratic occasion? some Republicans have made some claims which comprise Obama is a terrorist or a Muslim or no longer a citizen. some Democrats have completed as lots or extra to divide the rustic. a primary occasion is the claims that every person that would not vote for Obama is a racist.
