It is found through statistics that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. 35000 americans has accepted Islam till now after the trajic incident of 9/11. It is the fastest growing religion in Europe and Australia too. There are so many missionaries preaching christianity. but you will hardly find a muslim missionary.still Islam is spreding way faster than christianity. Please dont say that people are being forced to accept Islam. If so, who forced the 35000 americans to accept christianity? I dont remember any war taking place in America after 9/11

For example, I've always thought I lived in ancient Greece or Rome, probably Greece. I thought that as early as five or possibly younger. I was never taught reincarnation and certainly not at that age. But I could always picture ancient Greece very vividly and it seemed familiar, and in some ways comforting.
How do people who don't believe in reincarnation explain these attachments some of us have?

I don't. Because God knows that everybody will EXPECT him to come, and we aren't SUPPOSE to know.

Albert Einstein said,
"Everyone who is seriously
involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced
that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe--
a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in
the face of which we with our modest powers must feel
humble."

Isaac Newton said, "This most beautiful system [The Universe] could only proceed from the dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being."

Rene' Descarte said,"I exist. I have in my mind the notion of a perfect being. An imperfect being, like myself, cannot think up the notion of a perfect being. Therefore the notion of a perfect being must have originated from the perfect being himself. A perfect being would not be perfect if it did not exist. Therefore a perfect being must exist"

Gottfried Leibniz said, "our universe is, in a restricted sense, the best possible one God could have made."

So I guess you un-believers imply these men are dumb too. So how can anyone truly believe your words?

I grew up in Africa and its a place where people are a lot more interactive than USA. Since i got here i have noticed people just smile and walk pass without a word and the smile vanishes as quickly as it came.

Why don't they at least say "Hi" Most of the smiles are far from genuine and its the first time i have come across anything like this.

One day at work as i walked down the hall, i wasn't smiling but i wasn't exactly frowning either. Just kinda serious and a colleague said "Common smile"

I need a good reason to smile. Why would people just walk u by and smile and say nothing?

Why did they feel the need to cover up? It was just them right? Who hides their nude body from their mate? Isn't being nude natural?

Frequently I get told by christians here that I'm obviously trying to find god and that deep down I know he's real.

Really........???

Isn't that a bit delusional?

I'm a mature adult who has spent a great deal of time looking into various religions, and I can honestly tell you that I've encountered absolutely nothing that would lead me to consider the existence of god to be even remotely plausible.

Isn't it just the same as me suggesting christians are only here because they're wanting someone to shatter their faith for them?

Are poor people poor because they are lazy, uneducated, or just plain bad people?

And is the inverse logic true. Are rich people rich because, they are driven, smart, and good people?

Everytime I go thru a fastfood drive thru, I see a person working twice as hard as I do, but probably making half the money or probably even a third of the money. Then I get home and turn on the TV and see Paris hilton on Larry King sounding like a complete idiot.

Is blaming poor people for poverty tantamount to blaming a rape victim for being in the worng place?

and do non-western cultures hold this same view of class?

your faith calls it? I just don't understand why people become total athiest. What drives a person to reject the possiblilty of a supreme Diety that has the power to change your life? What drives a person to reject the idea of an after life and instead believe that when you die that is it? I personally do not like the idea of me being all alone and every thing I do and all the events in my life is in my own hands and I control my own fate 100%. Why do non-religious people get fighting mad over Chrisians and others of religious faith? Is it so bad to believe in something better than what you have in this earth?

I wanted fellow christians opinions.
I want to follow God and Jesus, but im confused.

Is reading books (ex: Harry Potter) or watching movies that show spirits on Earth and ungodly things such as magic and rituals bad if i feel it does not affect my spiritual relation with God? Is it a sin to read things like that even if i dont believe at all what they say and know its purely fiction?

Thanks

The Greatest Man in History
He had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

when christians explain something is just abstract things...when you pray you are connected to god and he sends his mercy through the holy ghost...huh? what is that???
can you be a bit more "specific"?
or jesus died to save us from our sins...so...it doesnt matter how much i sin since he already died for my sins? i mean why if their religion is true and the only way to wherever can´t they make things clearer??? we are not all religious scholars and sometimes we find it a bit difficult to understand so many technicities, can you explain all these in plain words???
and please dont send me to read the bible because you christians take all that jimbo jambo from the bible, so it doesnt help a bit.
