It doesn't make sense to me that he would be so upset by people loving each other. Which is something that he wants us all to do more than anything apparently.

What do you think of what he had to say about Islam not spreading by the sword?

"MAHATMA GANDHI, speaking on the character of Muhammad, (pbuh) says in (YOUNG INDIA):

"I wanted to know the best of one who holds today's undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind....I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to this friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life.""

Not looking for silly answers today, not in the mood. So the bible tells us that all sins will be judged equally in the end, why is it then that sins such as lieing to our mothers about stealing the last cookie out of the cookie jar, can be forgiven but it says that the adulterous and others will not inherit the kingdom of heaven and so on and so forth. The bible also tells us to love all people as our brothers, yet it then contradicts itself and tells us that whores, homosexuals, and other sinners are bad. The bible also states that Jesus himself hung out with the crack-whores so to speak, because he was not above them. I guess my Yahoo! Question would be, what is God asking us to do? is he asking us to hate all people that dont follow the strict rules of the bible, or is he asking us to accept and forgive them, but not to become them?

Just give your feedback, try to be serious

I guess when I myself think about what the heterosexual lifestyle is I could imagine it might encompass hookers and their Johns, or it might be middle class families living in suburbia happily or it might be much the same type folk having covert adulterous affairs on the side, it might be trailer trash types in casual relationship...oh the list is probably endless...

Ok so Ive debated on this matter for a very long time because it affects me personally. the state does not recgonize marriage unless you have that piece of paper from the courthouse stating u are married. SO what if u are in a relationship for a VERY long time say 8 years as i have been and aren't married how do we know God doesn't see us as being married? is there somewhere in the bible that states u have to have a preacher marry u in order to be married thru Gods eyes? I hope this makes sense. its hard for me to explain it......thanks!

I was told that a time machine hasn't and will never be invented, because if it had been we would know (e.g. they would have come back and we would be aware of the time travellers existence) the bit I can't get is, say the machine is invented in the year 4000ad, in the future ,so it hasn't been invented yet, how can we know it won't be invented then and go back and change history? If they go back from the year 4000ad and kill Hitler then this would obviously change history so the fact that no historical event ever mentions people from future does this mean it will never happen or just not yet?
Stupid question I know but I can't get mey head round it.

We all know that adultery is commited when you are IN a relationship (you are violating the relationship)---but the Bible mentions specifically adultery and forication, in different ways, so they must have different connotations. Opinions please?

What do you think about what he has to say about Muhammad (PBUH)?

"LAMARTINE, the renowned historian speaking on the essentials of human greatness wonders:

"If greatness of purpose, smallness of means and astounding results are the three criteria of human genius, who could dare to compare any great man in modern history with Muhammad? The most famous men created arms, laws and empires only. They founded, if anything at all, no more than material powers which often crumbled away before their eyes.

I am an American who is seeking opinions from citizens of other countries of the world about the United States, negative or positive. I truly appreciate this country, and even though I believe it's a wonderful place to live, I understand it is not perfect.

The vast majority of people have strong opinions regarding the Iraq War and George Bush, usually negative, but fail to research any deeper than what is being published by major news media. In fact, the average USA citizen, in my opinion, takes their rights for granted and lacks the initiative to understand truth.

That is why I chose to ask this question, to inspire opinions from others who have not been influenced by USA media.

P.S. - to anyone who may hate america: on average our citizens are peaceful and comply with a high level of tolerence for one another, however, modernization is creating distractions, weakening our true nationalism and self-motivation.

There are countless websites of girls who were rapped by gans in western countries. Judges 19:24-25 "Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing. But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go."
Judges 19 describe a father who offers his virgin daughter to a drunken mob. When the father says "unto this man do not so vile a thing," he makes clear that sexual abuse should never befall a man (meaning him), yet a woman, even his own flesh and blood, or a concubine belonging to a perfect stranger, can receive punishment from men to do what they wish. This attitude against women still persists to this day and we have the Bible, in large part, to thank for this attitude against

If I say I am an atheist people get the idea I am some kind of wierdo? why? I am freethinking and stepping outside the box. I must base my ideas on the evidence presented and not something force upon me. Atheist in america are being discriminated against, lost jobs, kicked out of school just for saying hey I am atheist and I have a mind and want to use it.
I never heard of an atheist going door to door trying to spread the word! or an atheist attacking other religions with violence to convert them. We must acknowledge this idea of atheism and give the people the equal right to believe in it or to not.

I see here lots of people say they dont need religion, that is ok when they are alive, they can "bring" their body anywhere they like, but what happend when they die?I believe to burry or cremate the corpse it has to belong to a certain religion? If it is right, isn't it selfish to choose not to joint any religion when they are active and then leave to the alives to think what to do with their dead body? I dont know, I have no friends or relative who are not belong to any religion, Iam curious to know the answer. Tx

Christians and God the Father's belief is that Atheists and Agnostics dislike authority figures. It first starts at the home with parents and children. Some parents allow their children to run the house hold. So therefore the child grows up to be to man or woman child. "Manchild" Manchilds do not like it when people of authority tell them what to do. Especially when it has something to do with blessing them. Therefore the manchild believes he or she have right to do whatever they want. According to Atheists and Agnostics nobody can tell them what to do or what to believe. Even if Atheists or Agnostics could consider the possiblity that there could be a God they would still not allow God the Father in heaven to tell them what to do. Atheists or Agnostics or you can say "manchilds" feel they have a right to rebel against authority figures The sad fact is that there is a real God and he is a real Father who loves to dicipline arrogant, bratty, ignorant people in hell. It seems to be the flavour of the day!
If you are so firm in your convictions and secure in your faith why do you feel the need to attack and insult them so much? What threat do they pose to you? Why do you feel like you need to ridicule their belief? Is it like the bully in a school yard who only feels validated when they push someone else down?
Do you realise how pety and juvinile you make yourselves seem?
Wow !!! Give them a break! You dont even give us pagans that much grief!
Blessed Be!
