imagine:
you texted your friend something funny that happened to you on the way home
she texted back her response (things like haha, real funny, and empathised with how embarassed you must have been and stuff and rephrased the joke)

should I reply to her reply, or it is right to just leave it like that?

Did you also know that your utter contempt against Christians and anything to do with Jesus is because you are so filled with guilt that your coping mechanism is hatred toward what is right. That is why you have to block out any evidence that there is a God who knows what you are saying about him. I am sure some of you will demonstrate it in your answers. Nonetheless, God loves you and died for you. Your extreme opposition is clear evidence that you know that there is a God or you wouldn't be so defensive. God bless you Christians and atheists alike.

This is a review of the creation museum I found recently while actually looking up something about Pangea...lol

"they constantly come over the intercom claiming that everyone is guilty of sin and are just horrible people since the fall of Adam, and there is a scene where Adam and Eve are standing next to each other with Adam holding a knife (that looks more like a prison shank) standing over two brutally butchered animals that they were using to make clothes from. Now that picture is worse, the animals are covered almost entirely with blood, the animals are splayed open, their heads hanging off the stump looking right at the children "

I actually thought the guy was lying but after reading some other reviews I came across this picture...(Note pretty graphic..fake but nasty)

I'm wanting to see if there is one you can read straight thru, like a chapter book I guess, not one that has the actual wording, then translated in easier to read terms. Know of any?

Ok so I'm quitting my job (finally!) and I want to tell my Boss to not tell any of my coworkers, because I want to be the first to tell them. Especially one coworker who recommended me for the job! So how can I phrase this so that my boss wont get offended? Or should I not say this at all?

Now, I'm a christian, yet i don't go to church (anymore...) apparantly i'm going to hell, says one of my old-school church-mates. ever since my church split apart (I'm a baptist) i've more and more been sick with organized religion, i see it more of a hipocracy and a power-mongery than a way to essentially go to heaven. i had some catholic dean/church-guy tell me the other day that god created all men equal... "its in the bible." yet, only the priests/pope can talk to god "directly." why is are they any better than i am? it doesn't make sense... and when you sit back and think about it....ALL (or at least most...) organized religions talk to people to convert them, not giving a rat's dairy aire about the potential convertee's current belief's...and yet, when encountered with a rival religion's own witnesses, get pissed cuz the rival won't care about their beliefs...its all hypocrisy. there's tons more, but not enough space. what's your guy's views? organized or not??

But if they turn away, We have not sent thee as a guardian over them. Thy duty is only to convey the Message. And truly when We cause man to taste of mercy from US, he rejoice therein. But if an evil befalls them because of what their hands have sent forth, then lo! man is ungrateful.

Does that worry any non-believer at all? You might say of course not, but let me explain. The Bible says that every thought of the people before the flood was of evil, all the time. I know we aren't quite there yet, but it isn't too much of a stretch to assume things will be at that level soon. Also, Noah preached for 120 YEARS! Don't you think people started laughing at him around year 5 much less 50 and 90 and on and on. Nothing ever happened! And it seemed like nothing would ever happen, until...you know the rest of the story. God tried to warn them, He gave them so much time. But all it did was show that their hearts were hardened to Him. It made His judgment all the more righteous. Put yourself in the shoes of the people before the flood. Would you join in mocking Noah?
"What evidence can you show us Noah?"
"It has been 120 years old man, and nothing has happened." "Your delusional."
The Bible has predicted it, you have been fairly warned, and the door is still open. Your move.

I rrecently started sleeping in the nude. I find it to be more relaxing and I slept a whole lot better. I have a feeling I will begin to be a constant nude sleeper. But now I have started to walk around the house naked. Yes I have the curtains closed and whenever the door bell rings I put clothes. I live by myself and I only do this while I am alone. I have been doing this for about a week now and the experience is great. I'm not saying I'm a nudist except in the privacy of my own house. But its great, the feeling of being free and relaxing while nude is awesome. Nothing holding you down or anything. Does anyone else do this? I do not believe it to be wrong as I am not offending anyone. What are you views on being naked at home? IF you are married, does your partner go nude as well

Where is the story about the man who had priets from a different religion build up a big fire pit and he (I can't remember his name for the life of me) would build one also and he told these priests from another religion to pray to their gods for it to catch on fire and they prayed and prayed and nothing happened. Then this guy had water pored all over his fire pit and then prayed to God to start the fire and it did. (only serious answers please) I need to show this to a friend and I can't remember where it is. I know it's old testament.. can you tell exactly where. Thanks!

Now I drink occasionally. Right now I'm having a beer and will probably have another but probably not a third. I need to dash off to the store. When I drank fairly heavily though, 15 years ago, I would have 6 to 8 beers a night, every night, after work.

If I didn't drink, I would get antsy. Now, I can have a drink or too and not need to have more. Here's the question: Was I an alcoholic, as my father was and my brother is, and am I an alcoholic now? Some people say that once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic. What do you think, YA people?

Ok. So. Fundementalist christians don't believe that the earth is several billion years old. They say carbon dating, and fossils, etc are all lies. Fair enough.

But you know distant galaxies and stuff? That are billions of light years away, we're talking billions here like.

WHen Gos said let there be light, and when he created the starts and stuff, why did he wait 10 billion years between the stars and earth?

PAY ATTENTION HERE: Even if you say that we don't know what a day was back then, as in, how long it was, if the earth is only 6000 years old or whatever, and the stars are billions of years old, isn't there a disparity between the length of days then????

I mean if you study History you will notice that the very first Christians did not live the best of lives. The were greatly hated by the Jews at first and then hated by the Roman Empire. They were tortured, killed, imprisoned, and at some times even denied the right to buy or sell. Still for 300 years of terrible living the Christians endured. Today when we were pertaking in the Lords Supper, Comminion, I thought of what it must have been like for the very first Christians when they pertook of the Lords Supper. They didn't have air condition buildings with cushy seats. They had no religious freedom. The fact that they were meeting together as Christians was a violation of Roman Law. Many were taken out of their Christian Communion and put in prison or thrown to the wild beast in the Arenas in the first 3 Centuries. I felt ashamed as a Christian. I am no way as faithful as those first Christians. It made me re-examine my life. Christians of today make the faith look horrible.

No, this is not a "baiting" question. My Church is dealing with this issue front and centre. My Church is in the process of trying to decide if we should bless same sex unions and ordain openly gay people to clergy.

Actually, its a little more vague than that at time, because we have also been in the process of trying to decide HOW to decide. Do we look at scripture? Tradition? Reason? Its a real stuggle for many people.

I think I count myself among a very, very large number of Christians in North America when I say that this has never been an issue of great importance to me, and it has never effected me personally.

Nevertheless, I would like some definitive answer to the issue. Is there any place in scripture where homosexuality is condemned in no uncertain terms? Is it condemed irrefutably?

Many scholars have challanged certain passages which are often used to suggest that God dissaproves of homosexuality.

Any honest and well considered answers would be appreciated.
