imagine:
you texted your friend something funny that happened to you on the way home
she texted back her response (things like haha, real funny, and empathised with how embarassed you must have been and stuff and rephrased the joke)

should I reply to her reply, or it is right to just leave it like that?

Just leave it, or else you'll both be on a lifelong texting thing. lol

I would not text again until either A) I had something significant to say, or until B) she texted me with something requiring a response. Just my opinion.

That's one of the reasons why I hate text'ing; some people feel they have to respond to everything, even a 'lol' or 'cool' comment, and then of course the receiver feels they must respond too, etc, etc and people keep text'ing back and forth saying nothing at all.... please just leave it, unless you think of something useful to say!

You can leave it at that, it does not need a response. If you feel you should, the respond with something like thanks for the love or I'm glad you care.

Sounds like there is something else going on with your relationship. Think about what it is that is really bothering you and then act on that.
