Did you also know that your utter contempt against Christians and anything to do with Jesus is because you are so filled with guilt that your coping mechanism is hatred toward what is right. That is why you have to block out any evidence that there is a God who knows what you are saying about him. I am sure some of you will demonstrate it in your answers. Nonetheless, God loves you and died for you. Your extreme opposition is clear evidence that you know that there is a God or you wouldn't be so defensive. God bless you Christians and atheists alike.

“Did you also know that your utter contempt against Christians and"
You got me there. 'Contempt' aptly describes what I feel towards any sentient ADULT being that still needs to believe in Invisible Sky Critters to take the place of security blankets.

“anything to do with Jesus”
Not that clown again. He was a cheap magician with a missing sandal fer gawdsake.

“is because you are so filled with guilt”
I don’t do guilt; it’s a non-coping mechanism; it’s the inability to accept and love one's past unconditionally.

“that your coping mechanism is”
See above.

“hatred toward what is right.”
You follow your particular version of The Goat Herders’ Guide to the Galaxy, don’t you? Literally?
Morality is doing what is right no matter what you are told. Religion is doing what you are told no matter what is right.

“That is why you have to block out any evidence that there is a God who knows what you are saying about him.“
THERE IS NO EVIDENCE!
How can I block something that doesn’t exist? Fool.

“I am sure some of you will demonstrate it in your answers.”
We all become predictable after a while, don’t you?

“Nonetheless, God loves you and died for you.”
Ah, pull the other one.

“Your extreme opposition is clear evidence that you know that there is a God or you wouldn't be so defensive.”
Being that you're the one sucked into the vortex of ISC belief as well as the literality of the GHGGalaxy I’d be careful who you were accusing of being Mr Pot, Mr Kettle.

One thing you can be assured of is that as a rule, generally, almost always, often, Atheists are SMARTER than Theists.
Why is that you ask?
It’s simple: Do I think I’m so smart because I’m an Atheist?
No, I’m an Atheist cos I’m so smart.

“God bless you Christians and atheists alike.”
Stick it between your cheeks, mate.
Let’s pretend for a moment an ISC exists and you’re his representative – yes I know it’s a silly premise; just go along with me a moment – so we’re pretending that you’re the man of the moment.
Wanna know something? I’d kill myself and go to hell rather than even contemplate spending eternity in the company of self-righteous, sanctimonious fundie such as you.
You are what keeps me alive and in the knowledge there is no ISC cos no ISC worth his salt would allow such a poor specimen of sentient being to function anywhere in this vaste universe or any other big place.

As a young boy I overheard a Jehovah witness member argue'n with a elderly Man that because the man did not believe in his concept of god that the Elder is a Atheist. The Elder asked the Jehovah witness, how many languages he speaks, his respond wuz only one. The Elder replied by ask'n, how many languages your God speaks? The Jw answered, my God speaks all languages. The Elder then stated to th Jw, since U only speak one u'r not qualified to speak to me about God, besides do u know what language the word Atheist derived from and what it meant originally? Perhaps when u find out u will realize that a Atheist iz some one who "hates Theseus" the Greek concept of god...

Did you know that Darkwing Duck would save you from Megavolt if only you'd let him? Really, he cares about you.

*ahem* No, actually I don't feel utter contempt towards Christians. Not believing in your religion is not the same thing as having a burning hate towards every member of said religion. I don't feel guilty at all, there's no coping mechanisms at work (and I love your attempt here to play armchair psychologist when its bloody obvious you haven't a clue what you are talking about.)

Please tell your imaginary friend to keep his hands to himself, and do likewise. Thank you very much.

If there were any such thing as a loving god, why would he need a blood sacrifice to be appeased? Do you demand your children make blood sacrifices and kiss your feet to be forgiven for an error they made in all ignorance? Do you think worse of your god than of yourself or any other human being?

I can't imagine a more idiotic story than that of Adam and Eve followed (centuries later) by the Christ/salvation myth. Unless possibly it's the one about God destroying everything except for 2 animals of each kind and an incestuous family.

I rail against primitive myths because they are destroying humanity, not because I have any secret belief that they might be true.

Like we haven't every heard this before? Guilt? for what ? I have no guilt. I live a moral life with nothing to be guilty about. Hatred to what is right? What is right? can you prove you are right? Of course not. I could care less what you think, so no hatred. As so my defensiveness, Any person who is told that they are guilty or filled with hate for something is going to feel defensive. Whether they believe or not.

The same argument could be proposed that religious people block out any evidence going against the existence of God.

Furthermore... Your question is a complete oxymoron.

Of course Atheists don't "know" that jesus loves them. They think when he died, he just went puff out of existence. Maybe if you put it in the past tense it may work.

Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there's 10 things he doesn't want you to do or else you'll to to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you!

I know whats right and wrong my defensiveness is due to stupidity such as this. I'm not filled with hate nor guilt. I have done nothing wrong I live my life how I feel I should live it I answer to my hardest judge myself. One day I hope you realize that you aren't superior to anyone and are a human not some fairy tales preacher.

1) What evidence of God am I blocking out, exactly?

2) No, we're defensive because we have people like you making laughably untrue generalizations and assumptions about us.

3) If I was THAT afraid to see evidence in favor of God, I certainly wouldn't be using this site, because I'd have to assume that if such evidence exists, people would definitely post it and talk about it here. Your logic doesn't make sense.

I can breathe, therefore God exists? What kind of evidence is that?

Apparently you're incapable of understanding a viewpoint other than your own. Not sharing your faith is not the same thing as being hostile towards it. A person can't be contemptuous of something they don't believe exists.
