Christians and God the Father's belief is that Atheists and Agnostics dislike authority figures. It first starts at the home with parents and children. Some parents allow their children to run the house hold. So therefore the child grows up to be to man or woman child. "Manchild" Manchilds do not like it when people of authority tell them what to do. Especially when it has something to do with blessing them. Therefore the manchild believes he or she have right to do whatever they want. According to Atheists and Agnostics nobody can tell them what to do or what to believe. Even if Atheists or Agnostics could consider the possiblity that there could be a God they would still not allow God the Father in heaven to tell them what to do. Atheists or Agnostics or you can say "manchilds" feel they have a right to rebel against authority figures The sad fact is that there is a real God and he is a real Father who loves to dicipline arrogant, bratty, ignorant people in hell. Revelation 21:8

*perplexed*

I am???

This whole "manchild" thing sounds a bit far-fetched. Is this based on any accepted sound psychological study?

I feel that dissent is crucial to social advancement, yes, so in that way I guess I DO support rebelliousness.

Well, I'll call that simple-minded bigotry no different from claiming that Jews are inherently greedy or blacks are inherently criminals. When we take into account the demonstrated fact that atheists have lower divorce rates than almost all religious groups in America
Of course, you could have learned all of this if they had simply done a little research instead of just going off from the premise of anti-atheist bigotry and writing whatever conclusions seemed to follow from that. That, however, would contradict the prejudices and ideology of people like you so they have to create a new reality for themselves in order to avoid the unpleasantness of the real reality. you need to look up Atheists and Agnostics because this people know more about religion then you do. clearly. why are you so filled with anger and hate? does your bible tell you to be that way when i read it it didn't maybe its changed now..... get a grip.if anyones going to hell its you you. i hope you so called god is looking down at you and is shocked and appalled by your childish behavior clearly your parents did a bad job bringing you up didn't they teach you how to respect other people?
mmm i guess not.

I would suggest that you take another look at those you call "bratty, rebellious, and childish" before you speak. Base name-calling is never a good way to prove your point. Yes, there are people like that...in every walk of life. Hasty generalization is a prime fallacy that people tend to fall into, and I highly doubt that you know all of the atheists and/or agnostics in the world. For future reference, it is not usually a bright idea to make a general statement if all you have to back it up is rhetoric.

If someone's reason for claiming atheism was that they didn't want to follow God then technically they aren't an atheist as they believe that he exists.

Actually atheism isn't anything to do with rebelion or this "manchild" crap, it's purely based on the acceptance that gods do not exist and are merely fictional beings just like (the mythical representations of) unicorns and dragons.

No shut up and play nice.

im agnostic, and i am not as bratty or rebellious as the next teenager, maybe even less. i really think this has to stop, really. This morning i was hearing a christian pastor keep repeating to not listen to what any person says. to not let them sway you. to keep saying the word of the lord. to keep repeating yourself. And i just kept thinking to myself how ignorant a person must be to act like that towards another person.

you said what christians believe that athiests and agnostics believe, if you'd stop looking so much at the biases you'd see that many non-christians are enlightened individuals. focus on the good in life and you will spread love and peace. judge others like you are right now and you will be wasting away your potential.

Balderdash, poppycock, twaddle and codswallop - typical of the outpourings of the uneducated religious right.

May I suggest you do your brain a favour and read The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. You probably won't but don't blame me if you remain ignorant for the rest of your life.

Well, that's one of the more childish rants I've read here.

Your parents should have put more effort into teaching you to behave yourself - you're an arrogant spoiled brat, kid.

Your god is a sadist, and you call that discipline?

The atheist motto, is people are free to do as they wish long as it does NOT HARM another.

Funny, that is EXACTLY what the U.S. Declaration of Independence says, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
