Just curious and if an Atheist reading this considers repenting how do you plan to do so?

Since the age of 'viability' is fluid (it keeps getting earlier based on improvements in technology) ability to live outside of the womb can't be the determination of when a fetus is actually considered a human.

So, when does a fetus become a human?

sola fide ( faith alone ) religions all hold the tenet that faith in a specific God precludes non-belivers from salvation.

how very dare they?

"Revealed faith is not harmless nonsense, it can be lethally dangerous nonsense. Dangerous because it gives people unshakeable confidence in their own righteousness. Dangerous because it gives them false courage to kill themselves, which automatically removes normal barriers to killing others. Dangerous because it teaches enmity to others labelled only by a difference of inherited tradition. And dangerous because we have all bought into a weird respect, which uniquely protects religion from normal criticism. Let's now stop being so damned respectful."
Richard Dawkins

Recently we've been averaging around 2,000 posts/month, but we've broken the 3,000 post mark a few times. We are represented by many different professional industries, including Advertising, Internet Technology, Law, Education, Engineering, and Death Care. When we aren't in the midst of new business conceptualization discussions, we use the group as a diversion from our workdays, discussing anything from Sports and Leisure to Arts and Entertainment to Food and Drink. Political Talk has fallen off quite a bit, as it infuriates more than it alleviates.

As an 'American,' by which I mean I was born and came of age in the USA, I am moved to say I really do hope readers of and participants in this ongoing forum do not believe that all of us are as rude and arrogant and full-of-ourselves. The majority of 'Americans'--and by no means am I speaking of the lamentable Bushies--are genereous, caring, honest, and insightful. You will encounter them here now and again. The fundies and their first-cousins, the wacko right-wingers, do their level best to shout them down. (Let me save the fundies a second or two of their time: No, this is not a question).

Why can't Athiests see that the promotion of athiesm is just a tool of socialism devised by Karl Marx to attack bourgeios values in an attempt to create a dictatorship by the proletariate.

im undecided whether to study portuguese or italian. im fluent already in French and Spanish. Italian is such a pretty romantic language compared to portuguese although less people speak it. I have a feeling also that i might learn italian faster due to the words and pronounciation. while portuguese have some hard accent and hard pronounciation sometimes. the thing about portuguese is that it is spoken internationally just about every continent. but if my girlfriend is learning Italian then I should learn italian right to converse with her?

I've been kind of feminine since a VERY early age, and I started paying a lot of attention to guys ever since I hit puberty. I date guys and I love them and enjoy their company. I've never had any sexual feelings toward a girl.
Also, I'm 16.
Because of this, I have people tell me that I'm too young to know that I'm gay.
Are they saying that I should stop dating just because I'm "too young" by their standards?
And why don't I ever hear people saying someone is too young to be straight?

One day I had this weird dream about that I was a mermaid swiming in my house and there was a tsunami that filled house up to the top and I was calling my mother. then I found my mom dad and sister alive with mermaid tails now I'm curious if my whole family really are mermaids. I even search in the website if mermaids exist. do they exist?

The missionaries brought Jesus to the Australian aborigines in a very novel way.

After being openly slaughtered for years as being savages whose lives had little value, the early to late/mid 20th century saw missionaries forcibly remove aboriginal children from their parents to assimilate them by fostering them out to white families.

After 50 years of this, it was estimated that every aboriginal family in Australia had been affected by the "lost generations" as it is now refered to.

Now it's been reviled that every single aboringinal community in Australia has a major problem with sexual abuse of children, along with drugs and alcohol.

Why has the god of Abraham that the European missionaries forced onto the Australian aborigines foresaken them?

Why do their lives now have so little meaning compared to what they had in the days of their "dreamtime"?

Why do christians so happily destroy cultural identities in their rush to envangelise?

In a work environment such as "Gray's Anatomy" Issaiah Washington was fired because he made a homophobic invective toward actor T.R. Knight. Although as a christian I don't condone sin, I want someone to tell me why abc allowed an effiminate actor to acknowledge he was gay yet play an important role that made audiences believe is of a male role. As a viewer I expect to believe the acting part and role be portrayed male or female but if the actor acknowledges that he's gay, he has ruined the role because I have a difficult time accepting a doctor's role as being gay. I personally think it's socially unethical.
