In a work environment such as "Gray's Anatomy" Issaiah Washington was fired because he made a homophobic invective toward actor T.R. Knight. Although as a christian I don't condone sin, I want someone to tell me why abc allowed an effiminate actor to acknowledge he was gay yet play an important role that made audiences believe is of a male role. As a viewer I expect to believe the acting part and role be portrayed male or female but if the actor acknowledges that he's gay, he has ruined the role because I have a difficult time accepting a doctor's role as being gay. I personally think it's socially unethical.

I know . . . and don't you just hate finding out that all those people on Gray's Anatomy, well, they're not really doctors! And the ones who are dating, heck, they aren't really lovers in real life!

Hmmm. This "acting" thing is so hard to understand, huh? I mean, when you think about a gay man acting in a straight role, in pretty much makes your head spin, doesn't it?

ABC cast T.R. Knight because he's good in the role. When casting, I'm sure they didn't ask him "Are you gay? Oops, too bad, we're only hiring straight people.". Nope, instead, they said, "Make us believe you're George O'Malley. Make the character come alive.", and indeed, he did and does.

Sounds to me like you're the only one with a problem and up in a hissy fit about it.
