are actually MORE accepting of me and my christian beliefs than some of my fellow christians? i'm talking about christians who are of different denominations who narrow-mindedly see things they way THEY want to see them....and can't see things from other people's perspectives at all.

to some atheists, i guess it's no big deal since they aren't religious, so they don't care...but there are actually some christians out there who believe in the same God as me who judge me even more, just because i may not see things exactly the way they do

anyone else feel this way sometimes? people can be pretty close-minded.

For all of you Christians who were so dishonest the first time I asked the question:

"If a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you." -- Leviticus 20:14

"And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire." -- Leviticus 21:9

"Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt." -- Genesis 38:24

Okay, this is just a question, and my opinion, so please don't get angry with me. I believe in God, and don't want to upset Him, but there's something about Christianity that I need to ask. I don't really consider myself a Christian though.

I really really like Elton John, I have for quite a while. I get criticized alot for it by my dad. He goes on about Elton being gay. Is it wrong for me to like Elton? My dad annoys me a bit because is isn't perfect, but he's constantly going on "Elton John is gay." "Homosexuality is an abomination." (He loves the word abomination.)

It upsets me. Even though Elton John says alot of things that I don't agree with I still like him, and even care about him. Its almost as if we're family. But I get criticized. My dad acts as if I'm gay. (I'm a girl by the way.)

Do you think its right for a "christian to act like their better than others? I don't think I'm any better than Elton John is.

And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Exodus 22:29
Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.

Leviticus 27:28-29
No devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast ... shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD. None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 31:25-29
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation: And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation: And levy a tribute unto the Lord of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep: Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.

Judges 11:29-40
Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah.... And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering. So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hands.... And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child.... And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back. And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the LORD, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth.... And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed.

The king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul ... And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD....And after that God was intreated for the land.

Atheists are always being mean to us Christians. Is it only cuz of our beliefs? Because we did nothing to them. Just because we dont believe the same stuff as they do, that gives them no right to be mean or treat us differently. So atheists please answer (and Christians, you can answer too)
