I am leaving soon to go to the church my wife and I recently joined. I am scheduled to be baptized in this evening's service.

I was baptized as an infant in another church of another denomination but, since it was a "sprinkling" of holy water and not a complete immersion (and also because I was an infant and not of an adult age) the current church does not accept is as a baptism.

Do you think God did not consider me baptized for those reasons? Or did he accept my baptism so many years ago?

Is there anything peculiar about being baptized twice?

Any thoughts on this?

I was told that since a Episcopal priesthood is not valid they have no eucharist. How about a Catholic priest that became an Episcopal. When he says mass would the eucharist be valid?

I realize that i have issues i need to work on such as: i feel like i degrade myself by saying cuss words, i tend to take things personal and snap back at whoever, and also tend to judge people too soon before i get to know them.

In the Bible, Jesus said that we will be known by our fruit (in terms of how we live our lives). http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%207:15-23;&version=31;

Matthew 7:15-23

If that is true, what type of fruit are you right now?

With that in mind, I need to go and get my fruit in order, and I'm laid up from work with a bad hip (bursitis). Take care, everyone!

Does this surprise anybody? They have already forsaken Jesus. What are they going to care about guidelines?

Either you're in denial or God has some serious self-esteem issues.

It makes me mad to see how many hate groups use Christianity as an excuse for violence and destruction, "in the name of God". It repells those who might otherwise consider it. Gods people are not haters, and if you think the KKK and others are really Christians, they're not. God wouldn't instruct his people to kill their brothers and sisters because they are a different race. He made us all. (was watching a thing on the "Klan" on the history channel that got me thinking about it)
Anyone who has hate in their heart towards someone,( just like the shiites are doing now), aren't following the teachings of Jesus.

What I think is that there is something in our mind that tells us that something bad is happening and that most people at some level worry themselves to death. I think that we connect pain to our fears.

When you think about what God ultimately wants to do for us where is the bad that we think that is happening to us?

I keep hearing Christians say no one is perfect. That being a Christians is a process. The scripture teaches that Christ is our head; and if Christ is our head; then Christ leads us to sin

2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
