did you find that by the time you reached adulthood, you became desensitised to its teachings?

Even though it is still ingrained in me to a certain extent, every time I hear quotes and passages, I think to myself 'yeah, yeah, blah blah heard it all before'.

I can't help but wonder if I would have the same blaze attitude if I converted as an adult, rather than a child.

I'd be grateful to hear your experiences. Thank you.

What the hell does that mean?

Well the way I see it I think it means that you can think and do and be anything you want to do in life.

either

Bad

or

Good

Being atheist is doing whatever you want to do.

This has to be true if Atheism is not a religion then every single atheist can have different idea's and moral's on how to live their lives.

This has to be true.

everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do..And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you. I looked back at it and it was a white cat looking straight at me. like it knew i was gunna walk downstairs to be able to see it. I felt as if it wanted to know it was there. Even though I have more German, Polish, Slovenian ancesters, my last name, Matyas, is likely Hungarian. My great-grandfather (dad's dad's dad) was a orphan from Austro-Hungry and served on horseback during WWI. When he immigranted to the US, they converted the name from Matyaz to Matyas (unverified).

Anyways it seemed almost no one could pronounce my last name, like I did, just by looking at it. Only two people did: My 8th grade chemistry teacher, and a college professor who came from Austria, who later asked me if it was Hungarian.

Last year, a language professor told me I pronounced it wrong, then she pronounced it. Way different! I told her about it being originally Matyaz, and then she pronounced Matyaz; closer sounding, but still different. Ten months later Hungarian students visited the campus and pronounced my name differently then I did. How could my family screw that up all these years? They pride themselves in "Polish heritage".

I pronounce it "ma-TIE-is"

No tree in India, Nepal or Indonesia has produced the ek-mukhi in the past few centuries. Only if one acquires one which has been passed down from generation to generation might it be possible to find this exceedingly rare object.

Because Jesus took away the ten and replaced them with two. Love god with all your heart and love others as he loves us.
But if I realy loved God wouldnt I
1. Not have any other gods.
2. Not worship idles
3. Not use his name in vain.
And
4. Keep holy the Sabbath day that He blessed and made holy.?

To pray to any Saint, for something so insignificant? Why would a person pray to Saint Anthony to help her find papers she lost? How immoral is this?

I think hell is going to be your biggest fear times a million. this is my take on hell.

Lying on a floor unable to move while millions of bugs and spiders bit you over and over again and I slowly roast on the insides from some unseen fire. May sound weird to you but this really is my biggest fear.

What do you think hell is going to be like?
